Just run across this video and it wasn't disappointing, haven't been to Monroe lake in some years. I live along the Ohio river and could fish everyday in some lakes near to me. Great Catch !! KEEP ON FISHING

@PuddleWalkersOutdoors i don't fish it alot but ,fish the Big Blue river some and caught a 141/2 Crappie, which i target mostly,and fish the lakes at HOOSIER NATIONAL FORESTRY, But would love to fish Lemon lake in 2025

I have been fishing those same Waters my entire life. I have been a fishing guide part of my life and fished in the Ohio River and White River and various lakes and reservoirs around Indiana. I believe that's the best fishing in Indiana right there. Never know what you're going to catch and there's a lot of big ones. Before I knew there was a bowfin record, I caught some bigger than a state record. Since I started keeping track of them to get a record, the biggest one I've caught out of there was 15.8 lb

Bowfin are one of my favorites. They get a lot of hate but man are they a powerful fish. Biggest one I’ve seen caught was 10lbs and my oldest caught it one evening at Lake Lemon on a chatterbait.

@@chriscarroll3635 Yes, I believe the state record is 16-3. Last I knew. My family is from down there and part of the lake covers my granddad's old farm. My mother's twin was stillborn and buried at birth and is buried underneath the water there of the lake. Mom said the bowfin were there before the lake was over there. She said they've always been there.

Amazing fish. Many were targeted heavily during bow fishings hay day around me. To find one over 3lbs is pretty amazing now.

In I have a KZbin channel called Starvin Pilgrim Outdoors , I'm going to be catfishing in a cave 2 miles up river in a canoe coming up soon. I just subscribed to your channel.

That spillway at Monroe is where I caught my biggest walleye...also a good crappie spot in the spring

We are in Owen County. Mainly fish the surrounding counties, Monroe, Morgan, and Putnam.
