Fished that same spot for the first time this past summer. Caught a walleye on half a sunfish.

That’s awesome! I haven’t caught a walleye there yet but I have caught some big wipers in the spring around turkey season.

Hey thanks for sharing your day on a cold fall day on the river really appreciate your intro explained what you were going to do your setups, but also talked about safety a very responsible angler point! Tight lines take care and God bless!

I loved this video man, definitely earned a subscription from me. I fish around Indiana as well and love to see other folks using the same techniques and baits I use and have success, makes me feel less crazy on my skunk days 😢 Great video brotha!

Hey I appreciate it! One of the fun things about making videos is you don’t have to show the struggles 😂 some days I want to hang it up other days I feel like I could beat Bill Dance on his own lake 🤷🏻♂️

those are some nice looking baits! great breakdown of your thinking/technique! Those falls aren't going to go so well....we are not getting any younger brother! 😉 13:30 love when the lines are dark and sharp like that on bass. Nice outing of catching fish Greg! Glad you were able to find some Crappie as well then! Good stuff brother!

This ole spillway beat me up on a few occasions lol thanks for the kind words! It’s really helped with my watch through. Here I was thinking nobody wanted to hear me talk 😂

Get yourself some heated gloves and vest, no it’s not a game changer but it definitely helps… Have you ever went to the hot water discharge down in Sullivan In at turtle Creek? Awesome winter time fishing.
@PuddleWalkersOutdoorsАй бұрын
Great advice! I picked up some wool gloves with fleece lining and man did it help a ton! I like the heated vests I need to invest in one. I haven’t tried that one but I have fished the one south of Indianapolis at the Duke energy plant. It can be really good at times but receives a lot of pressure. Thanks for your words and Time Mark.

Love the vids! I use jerk baits and do better in the winter than in the summer I think
@PuddleWalkersOutdoors21 күн бұрын
I should use jerkbaits more often. If this spillway wasn’t so snaggy I would use more here. In the summer I will use chatterbaits and spinners and thump them off the wood in there. Jerk baits though are on another level for catching fish.

Do you know what the water temps are there. In my area it seems like all the fish I’m marking have gone deeper.
@PuddleWalkersOutdoorsАй бұрын
It’s frozen a little in some areas so I’m guessing at most 40 degrees. They’ve definitely moved into deep sections and wintering holes.

@ and what do bass relate to in a lake. Structure and currents same thing and lake fishing is now a joke with all the electronics that are involved but that’s a different conversation finding the current parts on said lake and find structure is the easiest way on a lake always. Current and structure I call them ambush points also fish can suspend in the current and let the water bring them their food without wasting energy
@Gemni65Ай бұрын
@ but I do enjoy discussing bass fishing
@PuddleWalkersOutdoorsАй бұрын
Yep I use the same strategies. I haven’t used electronics. My bank account says that’s not happening 😂 I feel more rewarded if I find them and catch them on my own. I think a lot of folks feel that way just lack the understanding.
@Gemni65Ай бұрын
@ what I really enjoy about bass fishing is the outthinking the bass understanding them the first question I ask myself before I make my cast is if I were a bass where would I wait for food to come by and present itself for the easiest of consumption
