Zenvo is from Denmark, not Holland. I had one car that tried to kill me more than once. It was a 1980 Pontiac Phoenix. It had a habit of blowing right front brake calipers, usually at the worst possible time. Like approaching a busy intersection. It also had an issue with the steering rack. It would bind, then break free. A combination of the brakes and steering are what eventually killed the car, while it was trying to kill me.

@@negativeindustrial I test drove a second gen MR2 Turbo when they were new. The rear end was definitely a concern. It was, as you stated, twitchy. I remember going around a right hand corner and the rear end slid out but I was able to catch it with counter steer. However, the next time I went around that same corner it stepped out much quicker and I not only counter steered, but I also had to lift off the throttle. Then, when I had it pointed straight again, it was in turbo lag. I had to drop it a gear to spool it up again.

I remember driving down a four-lane highway going over 130 miles an hour in a 78 Z28 Camaro. It was a very scary ride and I do not wish to do it again. I also remember doing the same in a C3 Corvette again not a wise idea. I finally decided to go to my local race track and spin a few laps. I was driving a properly set up short bed pick up truck and ended up going around the corner and someone spun me and I flipped onto the roof and slid 100 feet and hit the wall. After that I decided to hang up the racing gloves.

My dad owns a heavily modified '87 Porsche 930 Slantnose. It has over 500 hp and a T66 turbo running about 18 psi of boost. When the engine gets up to around 4500 rpm, the turbo wakes up and the car turns into a monster. Even when going in a straight line, with all the weight of the engine and transmission over the rear wheels, it'll still overcome that traction. Keep in mind that this car has no airbags, ABS, or traction control. My dad has been fascinated with fast vehicles ever since he was a teenager and went on to own many, from a 302-swapped SVO Mustang to a Kawasaki ZX-10 Tomcat, all of which he claimed to have topped out, but his 930 Slantnose is the one car he's ever been afraid to take to its limit.

Craig. Great video. Very surprised that the Corvette is public enemy number:-) 1:-). We just bought a 2007 C6 base to use with our veteran suicide prevention experiential program. Alex and Daryl at Just Driven will do the mods to get it track ready and OG Racing is partnering with us for the interior gear: seats, harness, half-cage, etc. Your advice in the video is spot on. The first thing I did was take it to a Speed Ventures HPDE at the Streets of Willow. So different from the NA Miata I track. So much power almost instantaneously. I'm going to have my sponsor/donor drivers watch this video before they drive the car for the first time. Ciao!

There's a problem with tracks. They're only located in specific places and they're usually not anywhere close to where you live. Also, some people don't want to pay to use the tracks. On top of that there's the adrenaline of doing something illegal that goes with street racing in all its forms. I don't grieve for those who get killed street racing or watching. The ones I do feel bad for are the true innocents that get hurt that had nothing to do with it.

At least at a racetrack, they are controlled closed circuits, there are marshalls with flags and fire extinguishers and there are EMTs and at least one ambulance. The S550 Mustang (pre face lift) got 2 stars in EuroNCAP, they found that the Euro/Aussie version had a backseat which is a complete death trap. Ford did a Ford and cheaped out on safety, particularly the rear seat belt pre tensioners, EuroNCAP found that there is a high risk of the rear seat occupants “submarining” (being force under the lap part of the belt in an accident), which can cause heavy internal bleeding, severe spinal injuries and other stuff. It was so bad Ford promised to fix it with the face lift. But even the death trap rear seat a side it didn’t do great, I think the front occupant head protection wasn’t very good if I remember correctly, this was back in 2015 I think. Pretty f*** discussing that Ford cheeped out on the safety of Euro spec Mustangs just because they didn’t think EuroNCAP would test it, man I hate Ford (and on a personal level).

I still love my C5. I drive normal and obedient. Yea, it may look mint because I keep it that way, but I do assure you my C5 has seen ALL weather and it's handled just fine. I do have track and autocross experience. The car I have raced with is my 07 Mitsubishi Eclipse SE 5peed. I will say this though, streets are different in every way than a track or a road course. Too many factors come into play on the street. Pot holes, loose gravel, sand, uneven pavement, curbs, weather and temperatures, seasons, distracted drivers and traffic, pedestrians, animals and rodents, etc. As much as I wanna rip down the streets in my C5 or any of my other builds, it's just not worth the risk. Especially when I take the targa top off of my C5 or even drop the top on my Z3, I don't wanna end up headless. In all seriousness, I have been thankful to have driven a lot of cars in my lifetime, I use to work at dealerships in college. I established a close relationship with my higher ups so I can take anything performance related home for the weekends and or longer to keep those cars running in good shape. Like preventing "Lot Rot" on the brakes. I never did any shenanigans in any car as I would help the dealership advertise at car meets and shows. My two cents is this, EVERY car has their own behaviors. When being introduced to a new car or experiencing or exploring a new platform, get to understand that car FULLY, including modded cars. A Stock EvoX drives and behaves differently than a 1000 horse EvoX. Speaking out loud about it, this applies to all cars.

The term "Muscle car" used to be a factory car with a big, powerful motor shoved into it. In the 60s this was do-able and the Big 3 did it... a lot. Today, cars like the Mustang and Hellcat are poor designs and dangerous with all that HP. When you exceed the design of the chassis all the rest is just stupid, especially when kids today were raised with traction control... they don't truly understand unrestrained physics in action.

This is what I think about this. All High-end cars should require a special license to own and drive them. And this include specialty driving coures and keeping a clean record. And if you are going to turn the traction control off learn how to drive it without the feature first. #10. Zenvo ST1. LS-7 V-8. A Dutch Corvette. #09. Dodge Charger/Challenger. How can you not drive a boat? It is not the car or the engine. It is the idiot assholes who buy them. If you don't know what you are doing, you shouldn't be allowed to buy the car. #08. Ford Mustangs. Of course this car is after the Dodges, they took the title away from the Mustang for... See above. #07. Ariel Atom V-8. What do you expect from a V-8 engine strapped to what is basically a street-legal Go-kart? THs is real-life version of the Fiero Rocket-car in Fast 9. #06. Koenigsegg CCX. I knew, put a rear-wing on that thing. #05. Dodge Viper. A Back to basics car with a V-10. There should have been a label put on this one, this is a track car that is barely street-legal and should have required special driving classes before purchase. #04. Shelby Cobra. The inspiration for the Viper by the same Man who built both. This British car was an AC Ace with Ford's biggest V-8 dropped into it. So it had the exact same outcome. If you don't know what you are doing, you better not even start it. #03. Porsche 930. It is for pro drivers only. #02. Porsche Carrera GT.(How is this car not #1?) Paul Walker died a a passenger in one of these. #01. Chevy Corvette. You think you are invincible in this piece of shit? It is the cheapest sports/supercar/whatever you want to call it on the planet. It is built by a Company that lets Bean-counters control the amount of money that goes into their cars. A Company that will not change it's cars' designs as long as possible. A Company that makes the Camaro that has been the same thing since it appeared in as Bumble Bee in the first time. (I know what everyone is going to type and I'm not going to read it, so don't waste your time. A car Company that builds all of their cars from the get go so that they can interchange parts from all of them all the time. And it is a car that the biggest thing about it according to the car Company is the cheapest mid-engine car on the Planet. And the cheapest most powerful V-8 Aspirated car on the Planet. The cheapest anything is usually made with a few corners that may have been rounded off, or the cheapest material may have been used.
