Wish I had learned to play the guitar as a child. Trying to learn it now as a 30 yr old adult is difficult not because it's hard to learn but because it takes a lot of time that I don't have so I learn at a much slower pace.

I've seen a few people ask how to get a tone like this and while i don't know the exact settings here, my advice for getting a similar tone to this would be: 1. Use a guitar with single coil pickups, i'd recommend telecasters and stratocasters. Guitars with split coil humbuckers and p90s will also work. 2. On a tele (or on another guitar with just 2 pickups), use the middle postion (bridge + neck). On a strat (or guitar with 3 pickups), use the 4th position (middle + neck). 3. The amp you want to use depends, but generally i'd recommend using an amp (or emulation) of a marshall or other mid gain style amp. 4. Use a compressor or an overdrive as a boost into the amp and add some mids and highs. Dial in gain to taste but don't add too much gain, what you're looking for is clarity with a bit of crunch.

Use a stratocaster's 4th pickup position (neck + midde pickup) or the middle position on a telecaster (neck + bridge pickup). Use a compressor or an overdrive in to an amp with a little bit of gain on it, finally, you probaply want to boost the highs and mids a bit on the amp. Note that the things i mentioned here wont probably get you the exact tone, but you should get fairly close to it
