Top Ten Fragrances for Spring 2018

I'm looking forward to wearing Lalique Encre Noire Sport this spring. I can't think of a fragrance in my collection that embodies spring more than this one does. It reminds me of a dense forest after a spring rain.

Royal Mayfair is such an elegant fragrance. Once that medicinal opening fades it transforms into something mesmerisingly beautiful. That beautiful gentle rose note you get is just everything

Excellent. I'll be giving the Chanel a test when I get chance. Spring scents for me also include Giorgio Beverly Hills Yellow in moderation because it can be a bit heavy going and Al Haramain Dazzle Intense. It's light and sparkly fruity/floral but a hint of spice. Another good one for a spring or early summer evening I've recently got is Rasasi Yazan. That's pure fresh fruit on me.

I'll be wearing most of my Creed's this spring/summer season, especially Creed Silver Mountain Water, Aventus, Viking, Millesime Imperial, Original Vetiver and EROLFA. I have a small sample of Royal Mayfair, and agree its a nice one.

Is there a fragrance that smells exactly like 4711 but performs beastly? This cologne is, in my opinion, one of the best smelling ever, but it lasts a few minutes. Another great video!

Finally a spring list from you. Digging those barbershop fragrances! For the suggestion about the most masculine scents you are asking for, I'd say Fahrenheit, Dark Rebel are two obvious choices. One I love a lot is Noble Vetiver by Chopard.

How do you feel about Faconnable by Faconnable for a springtime scent? I have worn it on and off for years, seeking out vintage bottles. Now it's apparently been re-released. I've not smelled/tested the new version.

Great list. I love some of your more obscure choices. Insense is one of the best masculine florals of all time in my book. Another interesting older spring frag is Fendi Life Essence. Houbigant Cologne Intense is also an often overlooked classic!

Ginepro di Sardinia is incredible. Fresh enough to be worn in the summer, woody/spicy/robust enough to shine in the winter. GdS, Green Irish Tweed, Tom Ford Vert des Bois, and Zoologist Elephant round out my spring heavy hitters.

My classic old masculine scents are Drakkar Noir and Drakkar. No more than 20 sprays before you go out though! My new modern masculine scent is Historie des Parfums (Marquis du Sade) 1740. I don't like it for the 1st hour, but after that I have had so many "raunchy" comments it will always stick with me. (Never get a "oh, you smell nice!, but been pinched on the bum, etc...)

As usual hilarious intro , I love all your picks but for me I prefer the armaf club de nuit intense over the l’aventuer from alharamain, yes the opening is Little bit harsh But the dry down and projecting is much better . I love your first place pick the Houbigant intense I have a sample of the EDP and I love the one you made me buy Houbigant Fougere Royal . Thanks again for the Video .

Mr.Smelly, I need your advise urgently. I ordered Jaipur Homme by Boucheron and was wrongly sent Boucheron pour Homme. Should I return BPH and wait for Jaipur Homme? I like Eau Sauvage by Dior. I am 50+.

Many people really rate Boucheron PH highly. If you didn’t pay a lot I’d consider owning both.

Great list, Mr. Smelly. It's going to be a challenge to find a few, though. 83 degrees F down here in the desert atm. Rotation includes Viking, Luna Rossa Carbon, Icon..... and Perles De Lalique..... really! More men are wearing rose these days, and the Perles kind of has a Kurkdjian Lumiere Noir Pour Homme vibe going on. Let's Project 💨💨💨💨💨
