When he dunked, I screamed, "Oh my God!" over and over and my dad woke up and came in the living room with a gun thinking we were getting robbed. He was not happy but when I showed him the play, he said, "damn!", and went back to bed. That is all.

I think there can be different 100% valid rankings (e.g. Nique could go ahead of Jordan; the 5 spot after Doc could go to Kemp, Drexler or Kobe, depending on which style one favors etc...). The only objectively invalid choice, imho, is D Rose at 10; that spot is either Chocolate Thunder or Blake; D Rose is the superior player, but purely dunking, no way his body of work warrants the 10-spot; 12 at best. Otherwise, a flawlessly valid list.

I think David Thompson is one of the most unknown stars in NBA history. The man dropped 73 points and one of the only guards who could dunk without running up. Derrick rose was definitely more "athletic" than Westbrook according to speed and agility. However I wouldn't say Derrick was a better dunker. Westbrook is more ferocious and powerful, as well as having more flashy one-handed dunks. Still great video👍🏾,keep up the great work!

I agree with you. D Rose was able to actually float. Westbrook has the torque to hop up and down, but Rose was the definition of finesse and could stay in the air longer . Idk about better dunker; think they both are mutual because their dunk packages are limited. We’ve never seen either one do anything outside of two handed tomahawks and an occasional windmill. (Rose had a windmill in high school and double pumps in NBA). So we can’t say definitely.

Because he was not a good in game dunker. He also was very limited with how he could dunk. He almost always dunked right foot forward with the right hand. He was not good off one foot or left foot forward. Its why he didn't have many great in game dunks

@@gsmusic2009 Even off two feet he could only jump right foot forward. If you are right handed and jump right foot forward its VERY tough to get openings to dunk in traffic. The best in game two foot dunkers dunk with the opposite foot forward then the hand that they dunk with It was great for contests though

Purely dunking, D Rose is not above Chocolate Thunder, and he's not above Blake Griffin. Is he a different breed of player? Yes. Is he a top ten finisher? Hell yes. But not top 10 on dunking alone. A sentimental choice by Mr. Vincent, i think; probably a Chicago south-sider like myself.
