Sweet.. I am glad you are digging the Kapara. That is one of the best things about the collaboration, being able to get my design into the hands of people. I love seeing the TRAM Neutron on lists like this. They are such a great company and make great knives. I have a Neutron that I was gifted and I love it. I've had a ton of people try to buy or trade for it but I won't get rid of it. Great knives on this list. Just going back through watching older Slicey Dicey's videos and I couldn't pass this one up.

The Kapara should have been in LC200N like the chef, not ripping on S30V but I see no reason why they shouldnt have gone that extra mile for a steel that everyone is digging on the chef and carribean. Still looks like a great knife and I have nothing against S30V, but for the knife nuts like us...that would have knocked it out of the park IMO.

Just got my hands on the ZT 0609 and I put it up there towards the top regardless of the proprietary tool and pivot. Cost me 13$ and truthfully, to me, both the tool and the pivot being see through just looks cool. All under 200 with CPM 20CV.

Wow, how did that little Bestech sneak by me, I must be getting old! That makes the s35vn Pilar look kinda lame even though the Bestech is 90 bucks more, looks like money well spent. The Kapara looks amazing, and you are 100% correct, Spyderco s30 is no slouch. Steel Will, just say no. I have 3, big and small cutjack, modus too ...... all 3 have very disappointing D2, really soft, poor edge retention. But anyway, great round up of your favs, some wicked blade there, thanks!

Had a Kapara and sold it. Was not a keeper for me because every time I swung it to close it it felt lime it would slip from my hands beinfg such smooth carbon fiber. Actually dropped it and bent tip. Sold it as is and never looked back. Loved it otherwise. Had the Keen and did not keep because the lockbar edge was too sharp and tore up my thunb since I am a knife fidgeter and after a dozen closing my thumb was done. Otherwise would have kept it. Of the others, the ZT would have been mine. I have it and love it. Never heard of that Nuetron but gonna check it out. Enjoyed the video immensely.

Giant Mouse Ace Biblio micarta is my fav of 2018 thus far at almost a tie with the berg blades micarta iron pup.

I would like to see the Biblio tested because the Iona M390 performed really badly in the one test that I saw. M390 should easily outperform CPM-S30V and the Ace Iona fell on it's face in the test by Supersteel Steve.

I think that my favorite knife for 2018 is The Custom Knife Factory Morrf 5. I just love that thing in my hand, feels so "right" and can't put it down. Quite a functional beauty! The scales are a marvel. Pretty sure it got a lot of attention at Blade Show 2018.

I like your choice. S30V doesn't bother me in the least. Personal peeves that would have excluded a few of these knives for me are: thumb studs in the path of the cutting edge; pocket carry over 3 oz in weight; flipper action; and liner locks. But that's just me and my biases :)

A great bunch of knives, and a great video. I am glad I decided to go ahead and grab the Bareknuckle. What an awesome knife. Got it today. Maybe I was just lucky, but it came whisper smooth, and may very well be the sharpest factory edge I ever got. I almost always tune up my edge on new knives, I'm kind of ocd about sharpness, but saw no reason to on this one. If anyone wants one, DLT trading still has some left.

I love that Kershaw Bareknuckle. Wish they made it with CPM 20CV steel for the upgrade, but The Sandvick Steel is very good.

I want a Kapara. I don't want to pay $180 for it. I have consoled myself with TWO extremely budget friendly knives whose carbon fiber rivals the best I've ever seen == The Kubey, yes Kubey Eris ($50 at amazon) and the Eafengrow (Fng Grow!) EF20 (29.99, now 35) at amazon. You will not believe the quality of these two knives - especially the carbon fiber.

Hey! All great knives! Someone else mentioned the Biblio and yes I love mine. I like it better than the Engine. I was going to mention the Ferrum Forge Fortis 2.0 and then I remembered that you don’t have it. It was a Pass Around right? Pity, that one should be included in anyone’s top list.

I considered the Fortis VERY much, but FF didn't answer me about its continuing production status and the Keen is similar and I like it JUST a bit better. It was definitely my hardest cut though.
