Combined statistical metros are being considered for some areas on this list and the Baltimore -Washington -No Va combined statistical area is actually more populated than greater Chicago area with 9 million people .

You appear to be giving confusing info. When you give the population statistics on some cities you seemed to be combining just the city population in some while combining the metro area in others. For example, you give NYC population of a little over 8 million while including NY, NJ and CT. If you combine the entire metro area of all 3 jurisdictions it would increase the combine MSA to well over 21 million. You gave the population of DC as a combined metro population which includes DC-VA-MD WVA thus increasing to over 6 million. In other words you are not consistent with the metro population stats.

From google maps view you can say Los Angeles is by far larger than any other USA city and I think it's seconde largest metro area in the world after Tokyo

Google maps only shows area, Los Angeles covers a large area, but the city with the largest area is Jacksonville Florida which covers hundreds of square miles. But that means nothing because it's mostly swamp.
