Miss Universe 1990 was the 39th edition of Miss Universe pageant, held on April 15, 1990 at the Shubert Theatre in Los Angeles, California, United States. Mona Grudt of Norway was crowned by her predecessor Angela Visser of Holland at the end of the event. Seventy one contestants competed for the title.

Why not Miss Universe KZbin Channel upload all Miss Universe pageant event from 1957 to 2018! Im sure its gonna hits million views. Especially the recent Miss Universe! Than claim the copyright so that other channel cant reupload it.

I absolutely LOVE the pop background music they used when they announced the finalist! The tunes very distinctly marks the end of the 80s. 😍😍😍 They should bring it back instead of using that dramatic music that they have now because it should be a celebration that they made it to the top!

This 80s pop background music setlist was used in 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990 and 1991 and clearly gave the characteristic and spectacular touch to the announcement of the 10 semifinalists of the Miss Universe of all times.

and in doing so thus started a spark, that Madhu Sapre invigorated in 1992 and India hasnt looked back since. Except for a dry spell in the mid 2000's and 2010's, they almost constantly place now, especially nowadays, they had another spark now that the Miss Diva Universe pageant is attracting high quality delegates for their pageant and crowning titleholders.

The scoring in general for 1990 was brutal, it took me back to the dark ages of when scoring was first introduced in 1978, with those horrid low scores.

@@rahulvinalnarayan9743 I know the scoring was a brand new thing then, but I dont care, 5.5 average or lower scoring that i was seeing for semifinalists, YUCK!!, no semifinalist should ever have an average that low where I was going wow if someone had a 8.00 or slightly higher average, brutal scroing, 1990 reminded me back to that time iin terms of scoring, where I had to adjust and say oh she has an high 8 average score, thats high, lol.

Weng Caseres She ranked 12th based on preliminary scores. If only there was a Top 15 or 20 that year, Philippines could have placed. Not a Miss Universe but she could’ve been a worthy semifinalist.
