I would say Glacier, TRNP, and Great Basin have probably been my favorite for stargazing.

Do all of these apply to toddler age as well? Or do you have different recommendations for younger children?

That's a great question. We didn't start our extensive travel until our youngest was five - so I'm definitely looking at this from the viewpoint of elementary-aged children. I have specific videos on most of the parks where I give more detail about stroller access and safety. Many places, like Mesa Verde, wouldn't be fun for a toddler. Badlands is kinda cool for a little kid - because they can freely hike around. Olympic would be cool for a toddler because you can do the mountain hiking, but then also explore tide pools.

@@RVHomeschool Thanks for the reply! We have been considering Olympic, good to know that It could work. Have you been to Great Sand Dunes National Park? It seems like a good location for freely hiking around as well.

@@Sharri2008 Yes, we have. (We are based in Colorado). You can freely hike around but it’s a challenge to hike the sand dunes. Lots of three steps forward to just move one step (because you sink back in the sand). You could help your toddler hike up and then sled down together. There’s also a fun little gator park not too far out of town from the sand dunes that might be fun.
