Sonic the Hedgehog. I am not kidding. You have a diverse set of characters and stages from the series' various eras, each with definitive power sets and abilities, it can shake up the formula by having an emphasis on speed, and it's a good way to give underrepresented portions of Sonic's history more time to shine. The series has constricted itself to focus mostly on Sonic, so giving us all these characters who don't fit into his speed-based gameplay would satisfy a lot of fans, which, for the Sonic fanbase, is a nightmare to accomplish.

And to top it all off, why not include characters from the Comics? There is such a huge lore in the franchise in the comics alone, so why not take advantage of that?

One thing I hate to say about #1 is that....Capcom HATES Koei Tecmo. Capcom did an unnecessary lawsuit on KT so both of them are like enemies to each other. And the funny thing is, KT is the king of turning references and such into a love letter. HW, FE Warriors and even One Piece Warriors sure that they've done their homework and get an A+ to it. If it's Megaman Warriors, it's like Sonic Mania of Megaman but in Warriors style.

What was the reason of that lawsuit? Knowing Capcom's stupid track record, I'm sure Capcom did something stupid again. Just look at two company, one has Warriors, one has Basara. While Warriors expanded each year, Where is Basara now? If Capcom was smart, we now made top ten potential basara game list.

Well it's honestly a very minor thing: remix mixing. Basically DW usually has Xtreme Legends expansions and they have this one feature that allows you to mix the content of the original one with the Xtreme Legends one. Of course, this feature IMO is just a tiny little bonus and doesn't affect much. The weird thing is Capcom after how many Xtreme Legends start to file a lawsuit like....why now? I honestly facepalm to this because Capcom thinks they originally made it first. I like SB1 and a lot of SB3 even though I dislike the map linear designs. The problem is despite personally thinking it has better gameplay, Capcom thinks that it won't get much profit and doesn't want to Eng sub which what KT normally does nowadays. Basara's problem isn't the game, it's the marketing and the chance to be shown worldwide.

I think either representatives from every team, or select about four teams to be represented in their entirety. With the latter, you could even have every ranger on the team battling at once, and switch between them on the fly, or even allow other players to join in as the other rangers. The handling of the Megazord is what I'm most curious about, though.

Takanuva would be a joy to play, considering how much shit he went through as a Toa. There's also the matter of how much customization the player could have in creating their own Bionicle, whether it be Toa, Glatorian (I loved the Bara Magna ark), etc. Plus, no matter which character I make/choose, personally kicking the shit out of Teridax (Makuta) would be sooooo cathartic.

Seeing the beginning, Disgaea Warriors would be a great game starting with Disgaea 5 then going through all the other games as individual chapters. the basic enemies could easily range from Orcs to Dragons to Nekomatas/Succubuses or even fighters. since the generic character class is massive. and the playable heroes amount is also massive as there is roughly 6 Main characters per game + the main "Rival" characters and lot of the villains could work well as there own character. Running around as a giant head with 2 dragon-esque heads floating behind me shooting enormous lasers or becoming Nemo then smashing Earth into it's self an infinite number of times "Since that's basically his signature attack" the amount of possibilities are there and they are rype to be abused

I fell that everyone forgot one crucial series that would be APSOLUTELY PERFECT as a "Warriors" game: F*CKING XENOBLADE. It has a bunch of main characters with amazing attacks and abilities (Especialy the ones from Chronicles and Chronicles X), hundreds, if not, THOUSANDS of different enemies to fight against, including bosses, beautiful visuals and a bunch of different areas to compliment that. Plus with Xenoblade Chronicles 2's release basically right around the corner, they could implement it's characters, areas and enemies

The series's fights scenes are about as over the top as dynasty warriors, we're starting to get quite a few different locations, there are quite a few Grimm to use as enemies and bosses, and there's a huge variety of characters, including but not limited to... As an avid fan of RWBY....HECK YES IT WOULD BE AMAZING! All the different possibilities with new Grimm, all the unique weapons and characters, and tons of new creative ideas that would only work for a RWBY game. Like, say, a new concept of team attacks. Since the first 3 Volumes were all about teamwork, have you be able to group up and perform massive team attack like against the big thing in Volume 2 episode 4 (Not spoiling what it actually is for newbies to the show). Or how about a Vital Tournament mode! It'd be either a 4v4, 2v2, or 1v1 duel against other "Warriors" and it would warrant scenarios where button mashing won't work because you'll get countered. THERE'S SO MUCH POTENTIAL but it isn't based off a video game so it'll probably never happen. *Cries in a corner*

All those choices are good, but i would love to see a dynasty warriors games based on the Transformers! It's perfect cause it's a series about war, you have autobots vs decepticons packing heat with ranged and close combat attacks, and have the settings around cybertron or the earth. Transformers (or Cybertron Musou as it would likely be called in Japan) has a huge potential to having a large roster. It doesn't have to be restricted to G1 or the Michael Bay movies. Unicron Trilogy, Aligned continuity, even throw in some JPN exclusive series such as Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory. Or even the IDW series. And if they can, throw in Beast Wars.

I mean it's an anime about magicians in different guilds, kinda like Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors having a lot of factions going into battle. The major problem would be the mooks. At least Dio and the Pillar Men could have *copious* amounts of mooks through their zombies, but the cast from Stardust Crusaders forward would have trouble. Again only where the mooks are concerned, their are more than enough characters to fill a roster easy.

sc could easily fill a level with mooks controlled by enya. school delinquents for kakyoin's fight with jotaro. everyone else can be explained as either hostile natives and flesh buds. part 4 is harder but still manageable. you start with high school delinquents. later you could fight vengeful spirits. in a stage based around rohan's first appearance could be people under heavens doors affects. vento aureo would be passione members. so would be prisoners sbr would be other contestants in the race. i got nothing for jojolion. part 4 and 8 are really the only hard ones imo

I think Darkstalkers/Streetfighter/Final Fight would work really well, Final Fight do not have many playable heroes, but it would indeed supply a lot of alternative cannon fodder to plow through, plus it has time and time again crossed into the Street Fighter roster. Also, that robot from Darkstalkers obviously exists in multitudes, so they could be "elite cannon fodder" towards the end of the storyline (when one's character(s) has leveled up a whole lot. Including Darkstalkers into that line-up would also give a good excuse as to why the places in the game is being war-torn: Supernatural creatures are attacking. Soo... * Poison and Hugo meets up with Rolento, and decides to put the Mad Gear Gang back together, if only to stand a better chance to survive what is happening. * Bison and Shadoloo starts a violent expansion with their own brands of "Hostile takeovers", probably employing B.B.Hood as an unaligned troubleshooter. * Law Enforcement try to uphold the law. * "Generally Good Guys" band together, trying to get allies that can help in an attack to thwart the supernatural attack and/or Shadoloo's expansion. * The "Sasquatches" just defend their home. * The Q-Bees just swarm ....

My ideas for a "Warriors" game are Kirby and Sonic. They both have a lot of characters for the main roster and dlc ideas. The mooks are already existing. The villains could be creative like The Dark Matter or Nightmare for Kirby and Eggman for Sonic. And there are SO MANY DIFFERENT LEVELS AND SCENES for the characters to fight on!!! And for the multiple timelines or continuities,both worlds have that too. Tell me you wouldn't want to play as INFINITE in the Death Egg fighting MEPHILES,or as GALACTA KNIGHT fighting THE DARK MATTER SWORDSMAN on SHIVER STAR!! If you tell me with a straight face,you're either lying or you have no sense of fun.

If Persona ever gets a Warriors game, they MUST have the crest shop be the Velvet Room and the crests be in the shape of the tarot cards from the series. Also, either My Hero Academia, Fairy Tail, Dragon Ball, or Fulldive(i.e. Accel World and SAO) Warriors. I desperately want more Musou games based off of anime. I can imagine a BNHA one having Toshinori basically being the Tiki/Young Link of the game: kind of limited in quirkless form, but borderline OP when in Awakening mode as All Might. Not to mention the playstyles and mechanics you could work with: you could have Present Mic fighting with just his voice, Aizawa using a grappling type of playstyle and having an Awakening mode that functions similar to the Awakening mode in Fire Emblem Warriors(advantage against any weapon type), Bakugou dashing across the map with Blast Rush Turbo, mixing in explosions with his punches, and having Howitzer Impact or the grenade blast as his special, Denki Kaminari's special being incredibly powerful and covering a wide area, but at the cost of lowered attack for 30 seconds or so(complete with his derpy face during that time), Tsuyu utilizing her frog tongue in her combos, etc. Environments? The forest from one of the later arcs, the USJ, at least one of the cities in it(preferably the one where Stain was)...It sounds like it has most of what's needed for a Warriors game.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sonic would have been an honorable mention. I mean, Sonic has had a lot of characters to play as, plenty of enemies to battle, and plenty of interesting ideas in playing. Just imagine expansive maps filled with enemies, and Sonic and his friends dashing around destroying thousands of Eggman robots. In fact, they could make it so that it could relate a bit to Sonic Forces. I mean, the scenario that game was in would have been perfect for a Warriors game.

Heck, for a Mega Man Warriors game, they could even do what Hyrule Warriors did and make a new character that makes the plot happen. Like maybe a villain that's like an amalgamation of all versions of Mega Man. A new female robot master operated by a new Net Navi that's fused with a new EM Being (and then upgraded into a reploid, human-reploid hybrid, and finally a Whatever-Volnutt-Sera-and-Yuna are over the course of the story) that's connected to the Elder System. Their goal being to wipe out all human and robot life from the Multiverse. It'd give reason for the villains to be playable, and not antagonist.

Power Rangers: Warriors Think about it all of the various rangers across history fighting with, and in some cases against, each other. They could easily pull the story from the Shattered Grid story in the comics, or even use it as a way to fix the complete failure that was The Legendary Battle. It has tons of characters both good and bad to use and literal armies of faceless mooks to fight. And if that wasn't enough maybe they could somehow crossover the Power Rangers universe with the Super Sentai one. Just imagine the conversations that could be had then.

OK, you immediately got my attention when you showed an image of Disgaea 4 in the video. Honestly, the Disgaea series is also perfect for becoming a Warriors game. Multiple Weapons, Armor, and Charms, a large number of main characters who have interacted with each other throughout the series on a multi-dimensional level both in the main games and the side games made by NIS, and there are just as many viable enemies for armies. Although, I think the 2D to 3D process might be a big problem. Not a single one of the Disgaea games or the side games(excluding Ar Tonelico Qoga) are 3D.

What about a Marvel Warriors game? You got mooks in criminal agents, magical monsters and demons, aliens! These guys could be lead by any number of super villains. There are cities, countries, planets, whole dimensions for diverse battle fields. You go through hordes as Wolverine, Captain America, Spider Man, and dozens of others! Marvel has been with so many kinds of games like Vs. Capcom, Lego, and Ultimate Alliance. The over the top anime style can work too because Marvel has been done in actual anime before. The main reason I am pushing Marvel and not DC is manly the whole Superman invulnerability problem but he has been worked with other kinds of games and DC could be a Warriors game for pretty much the same reasons as above here.

Disgaea Warriors. Even if Disgaea is not as well known as many other game series, Disgaea arguebly HAS the potential to also have a Warriors spinoff, with the exposure it's gotten thanks to the Switch port of 5, the earliest point in the Disgaea timeline. Every entry of Disgaea from 1 to 5 all take place in notably different universes and points in time, with a huge cast of characters that vary GREATLY in fighting styles. From the sword wielding Laharl to the punch-rushing Axel, as well as mad scientist Mao who masters insane special attack skills from his own inventions, you got a huge potential roster of ridiculous demon characters. And mooks are up to the brim for selection, such as the demonic forces of the Netherworld to the heavenly armada above, to even the superhuman armies of the futuristic Earth Defense Force, easily deployable and disposable by the dozen. Disgaea is all things anime, even going as far as to utilize elements of space opera anime from the oldest decade possible. Finally, Disgaea from the beginning was always about war and conquest, unlikely forces teaming up to take down a shared adversary. You could even utilize Disgaea's icomic open ended systems of creating whatever you want as a soldier of your hellish army, such as giving a dragon a bunch of magic spells, or a mage equipped only with guns. Disgaea Warriors. You'll probably be able to play as a Prinny overlord as well

While i will admit that it would be cool for Pokemon to have a Warriors game, but i do agree with what you were saying, but however, thanks to ps4/vita, there's a series like Pokemon that is much lighter on a type chart that wont be so bad and would be very enjoyable to try to get a Warriors game, Digimon. Virus, Vaccine, Data, and Neutral along with a side chart of stuff like in pokemon but not as expanded could be very interesting, i never got much into Digimon but i have very much enjoyed the Cyber Sleuth games and giving digimon a Warriors game would be very fun to play.

We need a Disgaea Warriors, the series has a ton of mooks, the series is known for having an expansive multiverse with all the other games made by Nippon Ichi Software and there are tons of locations (The series has been everywhere from Heaven to Hell and even the Moon) and the series is one of the most over the top games ever (Here's a video to some of the more tame skills kzbin.info/www/bejne/np6qqKR6bNhghrc). Also, they should add characters from other NIS games, like Gig, Zetta (the Badass Overlord), Darkdeath Evilman and tons more. The only problem would be animating all the planet destroying skills. This needs to happen or at least make a fighting game.

@joshscorcher, now as for four franchises that literally no one talks about that could be awesome Dynasty Warriors games, I posit these four franchises. 1. Transformers/Convoy no Nazo...you have almost as long of a history of that franchise as you do with Mobile Suit Gundam. Also, in quite a few of the series of the franchise, you have grunt enemies, regardless of them being in the air, land, and water, and, like Mobile Suit Gundam, more specifically, the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam/Gundam Musou franchise, you also have giant sized heroic and enemy combatants. Granted, EA and Hasbro own the license, but I think that if Koei Tecmo makes a strong enough argument, they could have this franchise made into a game. Also, unlike most other Warriors games, instead of being able to summon a mode of transportation, you ARE your own mode of transportation. Moreover, like the Crimson Sea games, the Transformers have guns and the Transformers also have almost as much in the terms of hand held weapons as the people do in Warriors games, and the PS2 Transformers (Robots in Disguise 2001/Armada/Cybertron), Transformers: Prime, and the newest Transformers video game all prove that the switching from vehicle to Transformer, as well as mob combat, are workable with this franchise. 2. G.I. Joe/Action Force...granted, you have guns in the game, but not a lot of people know that the characters, as in not just the ninja like Jynx, Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, etc., can also use weapons other than guns and bombs. Moreover, Crimson Sea 1 and 2 were pretty much Dynasty Warriors with guns anyway, so it is not like Koei Tecmo has not gone down this road before in the past. Also, the franchise is actually even older than Transformers and it does not have much in the terms of a video game franchise, which is a shame. Moreover, not only can there be animals that can fly, swim, or or go on land as summons, as well as be ridden, but that there is also one thing that has yet to appear in a Warriors style game and that is vehicles as mounts. Now you would think that it would look like a Call of Duty game, but here is the thing, in some Dynasty Warriors games, you could do something like, say, take control of a catapult or a ram, and yet the viewpoint was still in the third person, albeit a slight bit zoomed out, and that could be done with the larger vehicles and animal mounts in the game. However, as with Transformers, G.I. Joe is also owned by EA and Hasbro, but one could also have the ability to have Transformers and G.I. Joe have some crossover missions that happen kind of like on the PS2 when, if you played the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi Trilogy, if you put in the disc for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 1 or Dragon Ball Z: Budkoai Tenkaichi 2 into a game that you have already started with Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, you could unlock some exclusive modes in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 that are exclusive to either the first or second game in the Trilogy. Alternatively, an approach could be made like, for example, if you have Burnout: Dominator (I think) as a save file and then you had a save file of Madden 06, you could unlock a vehicle for Burnout: Dominator. Granted, that was just one measly vehicle that was added because of a save file for two games, but it does not have to be that way, as you could theoretically unlock more of them as the games progress. 3. Dragon Ball...if One Piece can have Warriors style games, then so can Dragon Ball, and Goku and company have already fought hordes of bad guys in some arcs, such as the Red Ribbon Army, the Frieza Arc, and even in some of the GT and Super arcs, as well as in some of the OVAs/movies. Why not expand on fights like those and adapt them overall to the larger story? Having that would not be so difficult. Now as for the weapons thing, yes, the characters do not typically have weapons, but it never stopped Koei Tecmo from implementing them into the Fist of the North Star or Hyrule Warriors games now, did it, people? Mounts would be pretty much like they would be in the hypothetical G.I. Joe game. 4. Sailor Moon...this is pretty much the same argument as Dragon Ball and it can also be handled in a similar way. Bonus: Saint Seiya/Knights of the Zodiac...this is pretty much shonen Sailor Moon, so what works for the other games that are in this post would most likely work for this game.

Loved the vid as always! The new opening is also really nice, and edited quite well too. I just have one bit of constructive criticism, and big emphasis on constructive. I listened to this with headphones in, and the right side sounded louder than the left. I checked to see if my earbud just wasn't in properly but it wasn't, and it was back to normal volume whenever a cutscene that didn't have your voice played. Pleeeeeease don't take this as hating, I love you and your vids and only want the best for you. I just am pointing out an audio issue I had, and although it could just be my headphones I doubt it. Serious question, what if the Pokemon Warriors roster was just legendaries? I don't know how many characters are usually in a Warriors roster, but I bet there's enough Legends to fill it. And Legendary Pokemon are already seen as vastly more powerful then normal wild pokemon in lore. And then you could fill out the mooks and captians and what not with pokemon of different evolution levels. Not sure what to do with the Type Chart though. Maybe just simplify it like the card game? I dunno. I've never played a Warriors game. I do love the thought of Victini nuking about 7 dozen Pikachu. hehehehe

Honestly I think Kingdom Hearts would work perfectly as a Warriors game. Here's why: There are literally hundreds of different enemies to use from the Heartless, Nobody, Unversed and Dream Eater factions as well as different Disney villains to fight. Some of the larger enemies could be mini bosses like Behemoth, Darkside, Twilight Thorn or even the Devil tower could be a mini boss. Main bosses would be saved for the Disney villains or Organization members new and old. And let's not forget optional bosses like Sephiroth. The different worlds in Kingdom Hearts could fit well in a Warriors style. Of course worlds like Hollow Bastion and the Keyblade Graveyard are obvious picks but how about worlds like Toy Box or San Fransokyo. And if you want to work the whole world order thing Donald keeps talking about, have the characters transform for worlds like Halloween Town or Monstropolis could work great for alternate costumes a la Hyrule Warriors. Lastly there are a variety of characters that can be made into awesome playable characters. Sora, Riku, Mickey, Axel, Roxas, heck give Kairi a chance to fight instead of getting captured again.And that;s not even counting the different Disney and Final Fantasy characters. Leon, Yuffie Cloud, Tifa, Hercules, Aladdin, Mike and Sulley, you have a lot of options. Now the only problem I see with this is that can Disney play nice with Koei like it has with Square? If it can let's celebrate with casting Thundaza or Zetta Flare to Demyx's face.

I was actually thinking of that too at one point! Perhaps taking place/loosely based on a bygone, pre-Equestria era when the Pony tribes were still separate. I think it would have the same problem as Pokemon in that there are so many thoughts. Plus assuming it'd be the kind of game where digivolving would become easier to do or even a change you can easily maintain, then you can become untouchable really quick. Or even the opposite with difficulty spikes

Digimon is often thought of as an anime first, since their games are just kinda "meh".

Kirby (or maybe Dreamland Warriors), the franchise already have a lot of unique and fun characters which could fight very distinctly from one another, aside from the obvious one we also have Daroach, Dark Matter, Susie, Haltmann, Sectonia, Drawcia, Magolor, heck and even Gril. And of course the unique gimmick from the game could be the different copy abilities that Kirby can use for different moveset variety and summoning helpers
