DW4 is the best out of the series. Everything felt so balanced, there’s a stark difference between the cinematics of 4 and 5 and 4 just looks so much better. This game made you feel like a real soldier, because at any moment you let your guard down you can killed by anyone, even foot soldiers. Battles and fights can get intense putting you in an all or nothing scenario. And the best part, all campaigns and battles played out differently, not just based on faction but on the specific character you were playing-objectives, dialogue would change etc. really made you be on your toes. Even exploring felt unique. My favorite part was collecting horses through sometimes bizarre change of events that you would have to enact on your own, and it always felt like a huge accomplishment. This game is the only reason I still keep my ps2, I don’t always play it but when I do, it always feels like it’s the first time again. the replay ability of this is insane.

I never found any mods for the game and the game always crashed on gan ning, or zhou yun dying. For hyper anyway the emulators worked fine. I technically have a modded Xtreme Legends that lets me fuse it with the main game to enable musou mode in Xtreme Legends and other such things.

Tip: if you get knocked over and use L1/LB to flip up and get back up, follow up by pressing triangle/Y. They never counter this and you can get an aerial slam attack in, hurting them and regaining the upper hand. Also if they ever try to do this, just jump and do the same thing - your attack will land before they've had the chance to block as the animation for it lasts a while.

@@Cure_Gorgeous I think the Pool cue weapon for Guo Jia was very unique and cool. I hated what Dw9 did with them. Gave them super generic ass weapons and made the unique weapons DLC. Took away Zhong hui's floating swords and all the unique weapons. Not even for a worthy thing neither. Their new weapons are utterly trash and not fun to use. I mean fuck, you want to beat anything in 9 just use Zhong Hui and abuse his Trigger X/A move (Depending on system) Its so damn busted he can stunlock anything to death with it by having them practically constantly on the ground. Open world is a nifty concept but it was poorly implemented, I would still like to see it done better. They need there old weapons back. Their new attire isn't bad though they look really nice.

I'm struggling to enjoy warriors games any more tbh after the business practices Koei are pulling (with Dead or Alive 6 for example) and how the "Community" just accepts it. Too many games are doing this thing where the best content is paid, and after you pay, the rest of the stuff you would earn free means nothing. Namco does that with the Tales of series too. Ended up buying EDF iron rain. I'm waiting for geshin impact, granblue relink, maybe tales of arise to come out. Kind of itching for a stylish RPG to come out where I don't need to bug people to play with me lol. Either that or grab a ps5 and play ff7 instead of waiting for it to be on PC. This is only possible in the Xtreme Legends version. In the vanilla version of duel, your stats are always at minimum while the opponent's stats are always at maximum. Your opponent has unlimited musou (their musou gauge was hidden) as well in the vanilla.

Looking at the thumbnail...the historical Sun Jian would indeed beat Lu Bu. Sun Jian historically was one of the late Han's most badass guys. Lu Bu historically is nowhere near as good as fictionally depicted. Sun Jian beat both Lu Bu and Dong Zhuo at Da Gu pass.

It is harder fight any generals in duel, because the AI becomes smarter. Outside duel: you can refill musou with hitting weaker soldiers.

CPU in the duel really smart. It will use taunt if player blocking too much. If their HP is red & knocked down, they will stay on ground as much as possible And they will block player's arrows, not like outside the duel

To be fair I wouldn't attempt this normally because I'm pretty sure these are all max level officers with their level 10 weapons minimum. xD Depending on who you are it isn't even possible to beat Lu Bu in a duel in the time allotted at this point of the game. You could hit him for the entire limit and not kill him. xD I'm sure most people who have played the game understand this, but for the noobs who are just trying the game. Don't get any ideas of grandeur or this game will break you. xD
