OMG!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! i'm huuuuge fan of DW! I love chemistry of Tennant and Smith and John Hurt was GREAT! and Tom Baker as curator? When I saw him for the first time I screamed. Also, when they were hiding Gallifrey and the man said "No sir. All 13" and then Capaldi appeared! I love the episode!! But I don't know if Jackson watch Doctor who :D i dnt think so
@carysgardener64434 жыл бұрын
@@Nicole-ep1vt "No Sir, all 13" and the curator were both moments when me and my sister just looked at each other with shock. Doctor Who just knows how to surprise you (River Song). Whenever they talk about Karen Gillan I always think of Amy Pond, she'll always be Pond to me. I don't think they do but if they do a series where they watch the show (probably from 2005 because even I haven't watched every one I can from 1963) then that would be awesome. Probably won't happen but just in case I won't put in too many spoilers. I could talk about Doctor Who for ages I love it so much.

I’m loving these top ten movies of the last decade reviews you guys are putting out! A decade may as well be an infinity in the world of movies. The amount thats released in that time frame is huge when discussing cinema on the whole so its great to be able to break it down and these reviews help me narrow my focus. Film family is really making me jog my brain and it’s barrels of fun! 🤓 Lots of love for all your lists and yes that’s even including Bumblebee Taj! (although I must add that Optimus Prime really is my main man/machine). Parallel universes, fictional worlds, space travel and exploration, interplanetary warfare, physics, chemistry and astronomy ... I could go on for days lol! Throw all this in a film and I am so there for the party. All these elements is what makes me an absolute sucker for science fiction. 🙋🏼♀️ Personally for me great science fiction is one that takes me to another place and time while showing something absolutely fantastical. Which brings me to Ex Machina. I think its unique. With an ending that could go two ways and the film still manages to hold the same meaning in both. An examination on sentient machine life and what it just might look like when humanity dances on the edge of singularity. I was enthralled. The film questions both humanity and its creations in ways that just has you thinking and then leaves you with some disturbing answers to some of science fiction’s deepest questions. And YES that Oscar Isaac dance scene was definitely not from the world as we know it. FANTASTIC! Arrival. The way this film focuses on language and loss and how something as simple as a conversation has the power to change the future of a world. This movie’s effect on me was powerful enough that I think even a few years from now if someone wants to chat about the emotionally charged message of peace through superior translation I’d say sit down, lets have tea and hash it out. LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie! Christopher Nolan. I’d like to allude to Interstellar not saying I didn’t like it. I didn’t mind it. I never fell asleep watching it 😂 but Inception knocked Interstellar out of my list. I love storylines that make me think and also make me feel, right-o I need to watch it again now! I think this movie has something for everybody (just my humble opinion I could be wrong). It has a tragic love story and a science fiction puzzle that had my head reeling all sorts of ways and it crafted an ending I wanted to talk about for days. But above all that is the fact that for me personally my admiration for Mr. Nolan was amped up just that little bit more because he showed capabilities of being able to jump genres at the drop of a hat and he did it without losing a step. Time travel is a fickle thing (i’m not a director just an ordinary human who has love for cinema) this subject seems like its hard to work with considering its a subject of such scrutinous continuity that one would really need to know what they’re doing to make it work. Evidently Rian Johnson knew what he was doing when he made Looper. It shows in every frame of his movie. The mash up of film noir trappings coupled with fast paced action I think made for a good science fiction movie, that wether you’re a fan of this genre or not you could get behind it. I loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis against each other. And the ending still gets me thinking when this movie pops in my mind. Science Fiction being fantastical is great. But sometimes I think its also a great achievement when one is made that stays rooted to reality as much as possible and is done well. This movie didn’t make it on any of your lists but it made mine. I guess you could say this is my definition of a popcorn movie. The Martian. Only a couple of decades from present day, with technology and solutions that are relatable, for the most part extremely plausible in their execution. Throw in a wicked sense of humour and a sense of good old hard work through global cooperation. I found myself in the middle of a feel good science experiment of a film that made me cry. I really did enjoy this movie (even with the tears, as they say crying is good for the soul)

I just realized that I've watched quite a few SCI-FI movies in the last decade and my list is not really in order of 1-10, but just how they popped into my head. But first I'll list all of them and then try to put them in some type of order. Movies that I bought on Blu-ray and DVD: (1) Pacific Rim - Loved the concept and the soundtrack. Acting wasn't optimal, but okay. (4) Pacific Rim: Uprising - Concept, of course, original soundtrack was better, I think, but okay. Alita: Battle Angel - Was a bit slow moving, but likeable. Tried too hard to be realistic, but okay. Annihilation - Didn't like this movie, I tried to. It played mind games and I'm not a fan. (7) Kin - Interesting that it, of course, reminded me of "Eraser", but not as exciting...yet I liked it. (6) Bumblebee - Thought this was very entertaining. It seemed to miss something, but okay. (3) Real Steel - Bought it after seeing at theater. Loved the concept, very uplifting and fun. Movies that I watched at the theater: Real Steel - Thought it looked good enough to go see. Decided to buy it. Avengers Endgame - It was special and full of excitement. I wasn't overly rejoiced about it. (5) Captain Marvel - Enjoyed the storyline and the characters were engaging. It was worth it. (10) Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - Saw this and felt it was alright, not super great, but okay. (2) Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi - Thought it was smooth. Interesting characters. Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens - Okay, didn't fall asleep. Aren't they all the same? Movies that I watched on the Internet: The Martian - Watched it on my monitor and it kept my interest. A bit slow but I got through it. Arrival - I seriously don't remember much, I remember falling asleep and not rewatching it. (8) Chappie - Sat at my computer and thought it was entertaining. I watched the whole thing. (9) Ex Machina - Worth the time, dragged a little, yet I liked the visual aspects more than story. Movies that I watched on Cable TV: Transformers: The Last Knight - Just recently caught this on cable. It was sufficiently okay. Wow, I spent a lot of time on that. I think I agree with my choices. Well, guys, I picked a few of the ones that you had on your lists. There could have been a major change to my list, but some Sci-Fi movies of the decades, I thought about going to see, but just didn't bother. Oh, well. haha Nice video guys! (Edit): You know something, I would love to be able to see each of your choices per placement number on the list across the base of each of your microphones. You know you could put a little more punch into your labelling perhaps with "Power Point", etc. Example: #10. Title #10. Title #10. Title I would love to see starting with Taj giving his #10 title "the actual title rise up from the bottom of the screen" and remain at base of mic; as Prince gives his #10 title and it remain at base of mic; as Bigi gives his #10 title and it remain at base of mic. All 3 titles are on the bottom of the screen until Taj begins to talk about his #9 title and so on and so on and so on as aforementioned all the way to the #1 titles as they are discussed. The titles can flash scroll away to the left of the screen after Bigi finishes and Taj begins to give his NEXT title... This way we can see all the titles listed consecutively across the bottom of the screen; #10 down to #1. I sometimes have to rewind the video to know what movie is being spoken about. You know how sometimes a person looks away or move away from the computer for a short moment and then re-focus but only to see someone speaking a movie and not know specifically the title being described. I'm not picking at you guys, but seriously I am, haha! It's 2020...Power Point, Guys; Spice it up!!! haha (End Edit)

Felt the same way as Bigi about Interstellar but with Ad Astra too. A lot visual spectacle with a very muted/weak (not traceable) plot. At least to me. Too many sci-fi films fall into that trap. Definitely felt Inception was miles ahead of it, even if it relied on grand scenes to move along a plot point. Lol I didn’t know y’all felt this passionately about the apes movies but I’m might have to actually watch them. Since I wrote them off as silly years back 💀. Will definitely watch edge of tomorrow for you Taj lol.

I haven´t seen most of the films that you mention, but I did see Mad Max and my reaction to it was similar to your reaction to Gemini Man or something like that. OK, I know absolutely nothing about film-making, but as a viewer, I laughed at points in this film. The plot could not be any simpler. The whole film is about a guy trying to catch his women who have run away from him and basically all you get is a wild car races combined with fighting while driving. In the middle of the film when the women finally found the place they were running to I was starting the get some hopes like "ok, now the plot is going to develop somehow, finally the car scenes are over," and at that point they decide to go back and it becomes clear to me that I am going to watch the second half of the film again just with wild car races and fighting....I felt like laughing at the stupidity of that....and it felt that meanwhile they were desperately trying to entertain me with guys playing guitars while hanging from the cars fighting and I was like "what the hell is that?" and stupid dialog....I seriously don´t understand what people see in this film.... I guess the stuntmen did a really great job in this, but I seriously was not entertained. If there is some deeper message, I guess I´m dumb, I missed that.

Oh My God ! 'All Black' day again! It's some kind of loop situation happening! Seriously tempted by so many already familiar enough movie names because of their splendid descriptions, at the same time seriously lack some vital required elements for this kind of movies: brain, energy, English ability...maybe I'll have another 20 years to fulfill this list gradually... [ ma-he/re-yon ko-ti-ya ] Marion Cotillard ! Say her name properly bigi ! She's a hell of a woman, actress. How come the subtitle can generate the right word out of what you were saying is a miracle! I thought bigi absolutely revered Interstellar??! Turned out it's Prince who is the ultimate sucker for it !!!!?! All those philosophies, physics, sentiments (genuine or contrived)... Interstellar worth an episode to talk about! Secretly waiting for more of Taj's -goofy- obsessions surfaced... "By no means a good movie, but it's entertaining!" ...doesn't Gemini Man deserve at least half of that statement?
