Knots Landing was dying around those times. It was very sad that they got so far away from the cul-de-sac mentality.

Curious as to why Flamingo Road is mentioned in the closing credits. The Season 1 cliffhanger for that show was excellent.

michael65, in this case it happened because FR will appear in Part 2. Briefly, but it will. At the time I also liked that cliffhanger (which is shown in one of the past videos...) but as usual didn´t change the future plot too much in general.

The dallas season count is confusing. Dallas had a miniseries in 77. Yet not all consider that season 1.

Wrong.. Falcon Crest plane crash May 1984.. the CBS promo was "A shot in the dark (Bobby shot) and a crash in the night.. you even had the premiere right (1984)..

@1:58 the season 4 finale of Dallas aired on May 1, 1981, not April. @13:02 the season 5 finale of Dallas aired on April 9, 1982, not May

The issue with "#4" is that, its high ratings notwithstanding, the premiere episode of the 1980-81 season did not resolve the cliffhanger of the preceding season. Perhaps understandably, the resolution did not take place until the FOURTH episode of the season, no doubt in a bid to maximize the audience for the "sweeps" period (11 of 1980) on the part of Lorimar abd CBS.

Great job! Slight correction: on #3 - the fire in Steven's cabin where Alexis & Krystle were trappe, it was actually the cliffhanger for season 3, not season 4. The series' cliffhangers were: season 1 - mystery woman (Alexis) shows up; season 2 - Blake falls off horse on mountain after fight with r. Toscanni + Cecil has a heart attack while making out with Alexis; season 3 - the fire engulfing Steven's cabin; season 4 - Fallon rives off & gets in huge car crash + Alexis is thrown in jail with a bunch of hookers; season 5 - the Molavian massacre; season 6 - the La Mirage hotel fire + Blake starts strangling Alexis when she throws him & Krystle out of the mansion she bought away from him; season 7 - Alexis rives off in a borrowe servant's car & goes off a brige into the river + a bunch of terrorists invae the mansion le by ("the late") Matthew to reclaim Krystle for himself; season 8 - ex & Sean fight in Alexis' suite after Sean earlier threatene her with a gun when she was in the bathtub & a gun goes off when the men are fighting & Krystle has severe heaaches, running off; season 9 (final) - after a fight with Aam, Sable & Monica, ex & Alexis acciently fall off a secon floor balcony + Fallon & Krystina are trappe in a tunnel guare by a psycho + Blake & a crooke police captain are shooting @ each other with both men gravely injure.
