If it's ok for kickboxing then why not boxing? That doesn't make sense

Boxing and kickboxing are still very different, you will need different equipment to train in either of them. Some Gyms might let you get away with wearing one or the other but most gyms will want you to wear the correct gear for that sport.

Semi contact Boxing is usually full contact and you need more protective gear then gear designed for being lightweight.

Headguard should be hard outside, and soft inside Just like motorbike helmet Making all soft inside outside, or all hard inside outside are just stupid design

for point sparing kick boxing you wont need as much padding as they have in a motorbike helmet, Top Ten have always made their head guards slightly tougher as its only semi contact!
