Gtr solo on Hold the Line smokes guys! Ferocious for radio top 40. First time I ever heard triplets on kick drum ever. Porcaro was the king of the world.

Another fine show lads. I know the first half of their output much better then the second, so my list will be weighted in that particular direction. 10. Child’s Anthem 9. All Us Boys 8. Georgy Porgy 7. Make Believe 6. Rosanna 5. Hold the Line 4. Africa 3. Girl Goodbye 2. Goodbye Elenore 1. 99 I think l tend to like the Toto singles more than their deep album tracks. That’s very unusual for me to say. That really just means that l must dig further into their body of work. It’s a daunting task, but l think I’m up to it. Especially with you cats kvelling about some of their later recordings. Yes, as you dudes said on the album ranking show, “All Us Boys” has horrible lyrics. I can’t help putting it on my list because l simply love the music to it! That Luke guitar riff is great. Surprised no one mentioned “Goodbye Elenore,” I’ve loved that song since l heard it over forty (!) years ago. Keep on rockin’, you groovy gurus! Cheers from The Big Apple 🍎. Toto are among one of my favorite bands and you can go any way with Toto's songs you can do your favorite Joseph Williams songs, favorite David paich songs, Steve lukather songs and Bobby Kimball songs to for today's top ten tracks they are stay away, goodbye girl, til the end, after you're gone, afraid of love, Pamela, st, George and the dragon, I think I can stand you forever, Angela and English eyes these are today's top ten but I have at least a top 25 for Toto but these 10 are the ones that have been my favourites for years

You guys mentioned so many great tunes, and honestly I could come up with another 30 without blinking that belong in the 'top 10', but here's ten that didn't get mentioned at all, but easily could have (and thanks for saying 'all of Isolation' so I didn't have to!: Manuela Run, Mama, White Sister, Lovers in the Night, Wings of Time, Tale of a Man, Cruel, Spiritual Man, Great Expectations, In a Little While.

Toto is one of the best bands ever although they have never gotten their due. I saw them a few months ago and they are still a band on fire that is having a blast. It was a joy. Choosing ten tunes is next to impossible, but I will do it. The order will change daily, but as of right now, here it is: 10. Jake to the Bone 9. Falling in Between 8. Hold the Line 7. Lion 6. Girl Goodbye 5. Afraid of Love 4. Caught in the Balance 3. Devil's Tower 2. Make Believe 1. Great episode. Sorry I missed it live. As a guitar player and self proclaimed Luke “biggest fan”, I love any Toto content. How about a ranking of the best Lukather performances? So many to choose from. Keep up the great work grant and crew!

Me too - love Lukather's playing. My SL playlist is some 170 tracks deep but only about 25 are from his stint in Toto (and of those tracks the live The Jeff Porcaro Tribute Concert & With A Little Help From My Friends make up the vast majority)... Really versatile player, I especially like his fusion stuff (El Grupo/David Garfield/Derek Sherinian/Greg Mathieson/Larry Carlton/Mark Lettieri/Neil Larsen/Gregg Bissonette/The Royal Dan), plus the prog stuff (Ryo Okumoto/Sherinian/Los Lobotomys/Keith Emerson/John Wetton). His solo albums are great including last year's fine Bridges, and SL's appearance on Ringo Starr's Live At The Greek Theater 2019 is good too as is his work on Frampton's 1981 Breaking All The Rules...Most surprising Lukather appearance: on the Tubes' "Talk To Ya Later" & "She's A Beauty", and with Leslie West on "One More Drink For The Road"... Don't know if I could pick just one 'greatest' track but "Frybrain" from Gregg Bissonette's s/t album is a cooker! Also Beck's "The Pump" with Larry Carlton live = 14.5 minutes of guitar greatness!

Issue with YT again - none of my posts are 'sticking'...😒😒Except apparently this one🤷‍♂ Now that this (finally) works: Toto was always too commercial for me (kinda like Asia but even more so). Great lineup & wonderful band - on paper. If I never heard "Rosanna" & "Africa" again I'd be OK with it...To me "Hold The Line" is their best original tune (and their 'heaviest') - that's gotta be #1 & by a landslide. If we exclude the live The Jeff Porcaro Tribute Concert album & With A Little Help From My Friends - my two fave Toto records - that leaves Kingdom Of Desire & Tambu. As it so happens I like 4 tracks each from those two so that gets me to 9 total. Can't really rank those 8 tracks, they all appeal to me at about the same level so I'll do this: 1. Hold The Line 2. through 9.: How Many Times, Kick Down The Walls, Kingdom Of Desire, Jake To The Bone (all from Kingdom), and: Gift Of Faith, Turning Point, Just Can't Get to You & Dave's Gone Skiing (all off Tambu)
