Well, a $250 budget that has grossed only $400M is a bomb, no matter the expectation or the hype. Also, she didn't like it. I skipped it, but I would have preferred some other story about the Roman Republic or Empire like Hannibal crossing the Alps with elephants, or the Visigoths sacking Rome.

If I loved a film, but it bombed at the box office, was panned by the critics, got a D Cinema score, etc then I would say that is a bad movie. They could have made a movie about factions in the U.K. or U.S. going to war. But this was an attack on journalism, which Hollywood seems to find easy to do and not distinguish between real journalism and tabloid journalism. A lot of journalists have been deliberately killed (murdered) this year, many while wearing the sign "PRESS" on their backs. When it comes down to it they are truth-tellers. And liars and criminals don't like it.

The video is called “10 worst movies”, but that’s not what is actually included in the content, and oftentimes she uses the commercial success or failure of something as evidence that her personal opinion is correct. It’s also often unclear when the personal opinion starts and when the kind of “movie math” discussion starts and she constantly switches between the two.

Earlier in the year she (understandably) gave a positive review to Furiosa. But then after it bombed, she acted like it was a terrible movie and that it was a big misstep from George Miller.

If you enjoy a movie, it just seems odd to me to class it as one of the worst films of the year because other people didn’t turn up to watch it (although Kraven hasn’t finished its box office run yet so it could claw some money back over Christmas). Also, if this list is a gauge of box office disappointments rather than an assessment of quality, what is Gladiator 2 and Civil War doing on here? They made a lot of money. Megalopolis was a huge box office failure (and a terrible movie) but that isn’t here.

My biggest disappointment of 2024: LONGLEGS a GROTESQUE POLAR. The first part follows Agent Lee Harker, flashbacks of his childhood just the appearance of Longlegs played by Nicolas Cage. His worst role his grand guignole makeup. Although Joker 2 was pretty bad (I fell asleep so many times watching it on MAX), I kinda understand what Phillips was trying to do at the end: make Fleck no longer the Joker but rather an inspiration for the next Joker (an unknown, unnamed psychopath). He was trying to deconstruct the first film. It's an artistically pure idea but doing so, especially with a jukebox musical, is such a risky move I would have been shocked if it turned out well.

If anyone is curious. Grace unsurprisingly didnt like the Superman trailer. She said it looked like it was AI and compared it to the Snow White trailer. She also said the movie will probably make around 600million. 😬 Considering its the 4th biggest trailer debut of all time. Next to films like Endgame, Infinity War, No Way Home, and Deadpool and Wolverine. I think it'll easily pass a billion.

It's just a trailer...it has nothing to do with whether the movie will be good, or if people will like it. If the costume and wigs are any indication, it may be a dud

I am with you Grace. Joker 2 was the worst. Todd Phillips played himself and ruined his legacy and Joaquin did the same. It retroactively made Joker a complete waste of time and I never thought I would despise a film so much. I could go on and on, but it’s Christmas and who needs to give this film real estate in their heart? Merry Christmas Grace and Thank you.
