Also place your luck tree near your entrance. Other players can donate to it. Doing so gives them an extra luck buff. Putting it at the entrance makes it easier for players to donate, if you are on multiplayer that is. Got my tree leveled super fast that way.

Dusk mage light and dark bars don’t drop over time. If your main attack is dark you can spam the heck out of that but leave your secondary light attack as a generator and stop using it one or two attacks before you hit harmonic mode. Then, when you come up on a boss you can quickly jump into harmonic mode for some burst.

Oh, you can actually donate to the monuments in other forts as well to get a temporary bonus to fire and poison defense and gold luck. I think the optimal strategy for the luck tree is to vendor greens and sacrifice everything else.

@@mungyy482 generally not a bad idea but you can sell items with the pet but you cannot sacrifice them through it so it makes sense to me to vendor the greens that way and save a few trips to the fort.

I've been hearing friends say T3 is bad, but playing it im liking how they've improved the graphic style and the effects are all pretty pleasant. The game lacks stat leveling which I miss but the skill trees feel nice even though I don't know if I'm quite sold on the relic system yet. Seems like you can kind of pick a bad relic and it screws your class over.

I liked how stats were made in TL2... But at the same time, I hated it how you limited yourself to half of the available skills by choosing either Strength or Focus. You may like some skill, but unless you're increasing your Focus, it would be useless.

3 tips for new players: CRIT CHANCE, CRIT CHANCE, CRIT CHANCE. The pet passive, usually the gloves when leveling, any skill passives you can find with them.

Shame the current crafting system feels like a placeholder. Yes, you can "craft" into the gear slots, but outside of that, gathering mats (stone, trees etc.) seems pointless.

The menus are clunky, but when you're in the Pet Skills tab, you can get to the Pet Skills slots by either pressing down on the D-pad when on the bottom row of the Pet grid or pressing left when on the left-most column of the Pet Grid. Once on the Pet Skills slot, you can Assign the skills from there.

-On PS4 you can feed normal items to the luck tree for barely less progress than green magical items. -Also, start every char on ridiculous difficulty. You can lower it later, but it is actually pretty easy so far in the first map and you get +20% gear luck along with many more champions that are more likely to drop legendary items and lots of fame. I have found 7 so far and am only halfway through the 1st map. - All characters share the same fort. - The other benefit of playing on Ridiculous difficulty from the start is the high fame you gain early on. I have gained 30 ranks in the 1st map so far just progressing through. My only real criticism of the game at it's current state is that we can't switch our relic item (subclass) for a game that is so light hearted as compared to PoE and Grim Dawn. This and the not so easy respec system make you char building decisions to have more weight than Diablo 3. Actually Grim Dawn is far easier to respec than T3.

Sure! This would actually be pretty quick. Torchlight 2 is more ARPG than Torchlight 3 is at this point. The second game brings all the usual trappings to the table you'd expect: Interesting Loot, Attributes, open areas, unique, but useful classes and more, including mod support. TL2 beats TL3 with more wide open areas, deeper character development, a better loot economy, and even better pet functionality. I think where TL3 shines is to the newer players or those who want to see what an ARPG looks like on the surface. I've seen lots of couples pick the game up as something fun to play together, whether it's slaying or decorating the fort. That is where the value comes into play. Max Schaefer has promised more content is coming soon, and I'm hoping we see them build on this foundation by committing one way or another. Do you want to be a game that offers lots of shallow content to help entice newcomers or do you want to become a slightly deeper experience to the level of Diablo 3? Only time will tell!

You are not right about contracts, they don't start over once you have complete 40 contracts, it after that have a cycle of 9 contracts that repeat itself over and over. You can only get the first 40 one time after that it's 9 different contracts on repeat.

Yea and you should max out each contract because each one gives you unique items like extra character and storage slots. But only the first time. After that yea it repeats 9.

I was 30 points away from maxing my first contract tab, then I found the button and changed to Crafting, and when I returned back to Adventure, almost all rewards had checks, but my fame points were down to 80. Does this mean I have to do the entire first tab again, so I can grab the last few rewards?

@@matkosmat8890 no what you didnt claim is still there. You can switch between contracts anytime you like without losing any progress. It just once you complete a contract and reach the green zero then all you can get the repeating 9 items over and over in that contract.

You start from 0, as in any other game. Some things stay with you, however. Your fort, all you've unlocked there and all its resources, as well as unlocked gear in Legendarium and contract levels. You also can use a shared stash to transfer items between characters. Notice that if you start in multiplayer if your progress was in singleplayer (or vise versa) you'll need to refarm all things mentioned above too.

They've really messed this one up... So buggy. My luck tree is useless, it cannot be used, it never grows/does anything, phase beasts very often despawn in front of me before I get the chance to kill them, it can be quite annoying at times. Hope I don't run into any progression-blocking bugs.

Whelp finally made it to endgame. So the only thing to do is Fazeer's dun'djinn? Wow that's just terribly underwhelming. The mobs are exactly the same as in the campaign. There's nothing new at all here. I could play for better gear but why? Just to be able to play Fazeer's dun'djinn faster? How disappointing. Oh well I finished the game. Got my money's worth I suppose. Time to delete and move on to next game.

Nope! Not desperate at all for content, there is lots happening in the gaming world right now like Borderlands 3 latest announcement for new skill trees and DLC, Godfall finally has all their info out, Lost Ark's latest development on a Western release, Genshin Impact and the fact that it's wildly successful, Path of Exile's latest news, Grim Dawn's last big update that added new zones, Destiny 2 and Beyond Light's upcoming release, I could go on and on. But the thing is, I've always been a creator who likes to compromise. I like to create content for games that my subscribers like, and that I also enjoy, but there are times where I am loving a game and don't post anything. But that also pulls time away from new videos I could make, so I decide to just create the content anyway and hopefully it helps someone out there. For instance, I'm loving Genshin Impact and have a laundry list of videos for that game that most of my audience probably won't watch. I've been enjoying the 1.0 release of Torchlight 3 and what a hyper casual ARPG feels like compared to a Hardcore one. There are going to be times that I post content people don't like, or they don't share my opinion...and that is fine -- it makes us unique. But what I can hope for is that even if I don't post something that hits right in the middle of your interests, you stick around for the next one. Or if we are just not on the same wavelength for content, it's okay, people grow apart and that' fine too. Have a wonderful day!

I hate the fact that this game is getting positive reviews with how terrible it is. It isnt even a real Torchlight game. It has almost nothing from previous games except the artistic look. They cant call this a sequel and have it be worse than the previous 2 games. Doesnt matter that its an okay game. It is a terrible Torchlight game and the franchise should have never been given to a virgin developer.

Plus this game is inferior to the previous 2 Torchlights. So just on that fact alone it is a terrible game. Also I said nothing about wanting a complex game or another PoE. I do want a better Torchlight. Something that is at least better than the previous game or else what is the point of buying this version? Not to mention they raised the price from 30 to 40$, while they added nothing to the game. Like I said, not going to ignore the bad.
