To go to Miramare take the boat from molo audace , opposite Piazza Unità Italia, to Grignano , that's just next to Miramare Park..

Great video of a wonderful city, somehow underrated as a tourist destination at least for US tourists. It has a special and unique flair, half Venetian and half Austro-Hungarian and Dalmatian, but profoundly Italian as the same time. It is considered the coffee capital of Italy, but it is also known as the gateway to Eastern Europe and the Balkans. It has been for centuries a crossroads of different cultures, languages and civilizations and is renowned for the beauty of its people, both male and female. A must see for all visitors that want to enjoy a real and unspoiled corner of Bella Italia.

Your video totally makes me want to go! Seems cooler than Venice! Is it super crowded with tourists like Venice?

Trieste we found to have not many tourists at all! We felt it was a very livable, local city in Italy! Certainly a gem of a town! 😀

I would like to know if theese blue bus ticket machines work also in english? I tryed to find it on tpl fvg web page, but unsuccesfully. Could someone please tell me? Especially in Udine and Trieste.
@MD-no5kn2 ай бұрын
Yes, you can select from multiple languages. I used the ticket machine near castle Miramare, I suppose all the machines are similar.

We have booked a hotel on unity Square - do you think it's a good spot
@SharingtheRoad11 ай бұрын
YES! That’s a FANTASTIC spot! It’s right in the middle of the action, and walkable to many of the main attractions. You are going to have such a fun trip, it’s an amazing city! 😊

@@SharingtheRoad we are only there for one day and night, we are boarding the Queen Victoria the next day. Our trip starts in Venice then we are making our own way to Trieste. Not sure how that will work with suitcases! 😂 The hotel in Trieste is the Duchi D'aosta if you know it. Regards from England

Thank You very much for all those good words to my city. We, as locals, not always remember that our city is very particular due to its history, which has bring many different types of people, culture and mentality. We have been always a melting pot of cultures from east and west Europe. And thank you for the beautiful images from the sky, that are rare to see. I am glad you enjoyed your stay (and hope you went to eat salame, prosciutto e formaggio and drink wine in one of the various "osmiza" in the city suburbs, "su per le alte"- above in the heights of Carso).

What do you like to do? You can find architecture, sea, nature, caves and caverns, museums, castles, churches, World War II and World War I memorial sites, historic cafés, typical food, wine... complete dinosaur fossils...

You can visit Castello di San Giusto and the cathedral, Miramare, there are a lot of Museums..outside you can visit Grotta Gigante, walking on the Rilke track, visit Risiera di San Sabba , the only concentration camp in Italy, go for a walk from Piscina to Prosecco, beautiful views, or in ValRosandra..and nearby there are Muggia, Aquileia, Grado, the st Canzian caves ( in Slovenia but just 30 min from TS)..
