So for $1000 bucks, I'd say for what most folks do on a computer, the the M1 MBA would need to be a consideration with unbeatable battery life, great CPU, higher resolution, and student discount that can be combined with sales. Plus best of its class integration with other Apple products with most folks in the U.S. having an iPhone at least already. This adds a ton of extra value and compatibility. I'd say the spectre and Envy series should be a consideration as well. Also, Dell XPS may be found around $1000 (unless they have gone up in the last year or two). I find Dell inspirons to overheat and have poorer quality control there. Another great consideration can be ThinkPads. Best keyboard of any laptop in existence and decent build. For RAM and SSD, I highly recommend considering just adding yourself. Extremely easy and cheap to do on a ton of these laptops. On this particular channel a bulk of the vids is PC builds so I would expect the bulk of the audience to not mind installing an NVME SSD or sliding in more RAM since they are building entire PC's and can be familiar with the parts. Just some considerations.
