Yay!! I went up to Cedar point yesterday ! And I went into the Top Thrill 2 store and asked the workers there. I was like I know u get asked this like 1000 times the guy and girl smiled but I asked them and I told them I will be back up at the end of June early July and they seemed confident that it will be back up and running by them and they gave me some interesting info about it as well !!! I'm going back up to Cedar point on July 11th ! So I'm hoping I'm able to ride it again and that it's open again when I go back up !!

Nothing like "getting a fix in quickly" just to make that dollar - hopefully safety is being taken into account with that decision. If something happens on this ride, its getting torn down.

I feel like the relationship between Zamperla and Cedar Fair is going to hinge on how this get handled. Zamperla stuck their necks out and they have to make this thing work, no matter what. it's their reputation on the line. the past few years Cedar Fair has clearly been in a tight relationship with Zamperla. even before TT2 was announced, we got the Wild Mouse last year and Carowinds got a couple of flat rides so clearly there was some multi park package deal

They are going to do this on-site or the trains have to get shipped back? 4-5 weeks to complete the fix then the testing begins?

I was just told about 4 weeks the fix looks to be happening on site and if they needed shipped out it would be to Pennsylvania where zamperlas coaster division headquarters is I know that zamperla is Italian but their coaster stuff is done in pa

Being prototype trains, the first ever triple launch coaster of its kind, and Zamperlas first major coaster... this ride should have been tested a lot more than it was... even if it meant going past opening day. Honestly, I would have rather waited in anticipation for a ride opening date, than been given a great new ride with HUGE hype on opening day and then have it shut down 2 weeks later. I love Cedar Point, been a fan for years... but in my opinion, this is on them.

I just commented on your last video... Its the center point of the trains is too high and that tower was designed was for lower seats not for what they had designed and the it's putting too much stress on the wheel assembly....being almost top heavy....if you know what i mean... This things is a mess....i would say this....they need to take their time and call ir a wrap...and try again gor a full season next year and fo it right and not to rush it

My source said zamperla might be making whole new trains for next season that fully integrate the fixes that will be done on the current trains that will be used this year and would be replaced by the new ones for the 2025 season hope that answers your question

I doubt cedar point would be buying a whole new set of trains....more like zamperla is making them a whole new set of trains. This thing is definitely still going to be financed by zamperla. Any mods or changes will be paid for by the manufacturer not the park. That's not speculation....it's just the way these new rides are. It's basically like having a car warranty.

@@freshjmcfly17 na probably just the wheel assemblies. I think the wheels are too big in my opinion.....they probably flex too much and cause vibration. They need to be half that size and that means the bottom of the trains will need rebuilt. I think your half right. But for now they are probably gonna beef up the wheel carries and make extra parts right now to get this thing thru the season

Basically they were trying to manipulate the launch sequence to remedy the situation temporarily. ..high tech only allows so much Cheapening of the budget then you have issues. 😂

I asked about speed and was told it was not reprogrammed and was told my assumption of that needing to be off season work was correct. Tldr ride not reprogrammed it was just really windy

Heat; when wheels are larger, they need to spin less to achieve the same tangential speed (think gear ratios), and a slower spinning wheel heats up slower than a faster wheel.
