I was genuinely stunned by Xcelerator. It’s launch felt even more intense than Dragster’s. It may only go 82 mph but it felt like you it the top speed instantly.

The first time I went to CP to ride top thrill dragster it was broken down. I was determined to ride it even if it were the only ride I got. After a 6 hour wait without leaving the ride ( except one bathroom break), I finally got on and it was Awesome!!

I had the chance to ride this beast last time i visited. Just months before the accident happened. It was mindblowing! I'll never experience anything like it again. (Unless I make a return trip to Great Adventure.)

What they should have done was remove the ride entirely and not simply try to reprofile it. If this accident had happened at any other park in the world you'd better believe that that ride would be removed immediately.

Well it would’ve been really hard to remove because it’s size and where it is

It never paid itself off, they couldn't afford to add the expense of the removal on top of how much it had lost already. Maybe now they can get enough people on it to justify it's existence.

With Six Flags habit of spending money, I doubt they'd try to remove Kingda Ka. Plus there's rides that have had even way worse accidents that are still opened or remained opened long after the accident.

@@kingcorgi7509 1. Xcelerator-While it's reopened for now I know with how Cedar Fair feels about Intamin and hydraulic launches they are looking at the TT2 situation and possible changing Xcelerator. Personally, I think the hydraulic launches should be preserved. 2. Thunderhawk (Dorney Park)-I think Dorney should get a GCI to give them wooden coaster and Thunderhawk should get RMC. Kind of surprised more people aren't saying how Thunderhawk should be RMC'd 3. Viper (Six Flags Magic Mountain)-I don't hate this coaster unlike some people. In fact I actually like it a little more than Riddler's Revenge and Scream. Being the last 7 Arrow Looper it should stay but it would benefit from a retracking by Vekoma and new trains with vest restraints and which would make it more enjoyable and popular.

I have been to the point around 16 times in the past two decades. Not once, Dragster was open on any of my trips out there. Luckily I live in Pennsylvania smack in the middle of Hersheypark or Great Adventure, both parks have the hydraulic launch coasters as we all know, Stromrunner and Kinda Ka. But still. Never had the credit of Dragster

That sucks it was a great ride but both ka and storm runner are great rides too
