getting ready for a EX 700 hundred bill or 1200 thats when happen to a friend of mine , and the cell phone company will ban your cell phone and or limit it i would not do it my friend cant use the same company any more to buy his phones he has to go to another company to get his cell phones do this at your own risk !!!! the hot spot is not for gaming nothing that heavy LOL

If this didn't work for anyone go into settings and find initialization then press restore default settings note: you won't lose your data just some setting like the themes and stuff, then when your ps4 boots up do the instructions and when your asked to connect to a network connect it to your mobile hotspot then continue, then your all set if anyone needs help with this I'm happy to help.

This is because only ps4 slim / pro support 5Ghz. Old model of PS4 doesn’t support 5Ghz.

Literally so annoying, my iphone hotspots won’t connect anymore I constantly get “could not connect within the time limit” my partners iPhone works completely fine though and connects straight away this is doing my head in

TRUE FIX*** restart your ps4 and shut off your iphone (make sure your hotpot is off before turning off phone), once your ps4 loads up turn of your phone and and go to the connect stage on the ps4, turn on the hotspot refresh a couple times it should show.

Ik the solution I had this same problem with my phone were you go on your hot spot on your phone there an option between 2.4 and 5 and click the 2.4 now your ps4 will detect it and connect

Original ps4 doesn’t allow 5g network but in settings on iPhone if you go to mobile data options and change it to 4g it should show up on the ps4

The Options icon will appear once you enter the set up internet connection screen, and after that press options on your controller and on the right hand side will appear the wi-Di frequency bands option for you to select. And choose automatic.

If your data company has 5g make sure you set frequency bands at 5g or automatic. That’s what I had to do and after that it worked.
