There is a lot of truth in what you are saying. When I used to fish in Holland, Denmark, Belgium and Germany, I used to ball it in all the time, then pole cups were invented, so I , naturally used the cup for accuracy. My catch rate slowed and so did the stamp of fish. When I started balling it in again, that's then I started catching more, as you say small, dumb fish, at some point the big fish turn up and have a chew. Great video mate. keep them coming.

You know it's true what your saying about the roach because when I fished in the winter at my venue all I was catching was small roach of generally all the same size 4-6cms . Even the perch were not around as much . I must admit it got boring after about 2 hours .
