Hi I'm Wendy a resin artist and crafter.
In this video I am trying out Let'sResin glow in the dark powders. I also make resin blanks with leftover resin and turn two into pens.
I love bright colours and these glow powders are beautifully bright.

You can also get glow in the dark pigment from culture hustle, its a UK company. They have the glowest glow in the dark pigment in the world

So I know with fluorescent mica and glow in the dark mica when u mix them with resin they can be hard to mix and can be gritty so did u have to mix them with 99% isopropyl alcohol first or did they mix very good without doing that first

I just mixed them straight from the pots. As it came with no messing and they did mix well but as I said settled at the bottom. Thanks for your question Lizz 😀👍

i mixed the blueish glow in the dark pigment with Pearl Ex white mica pigment to make a skull, and I'm still in process of casting so I will let you know if it works!

Use a food processor to turn your consistency of the substance to a finer powder that won't sink.

Those pens are beautiful 😍 I was messing around with glow powder and UV resin myself over the weekend. I really want to find a great purple glow that lasts a long time. Got a couple of nice teal and blue keyrings out of the meddling at least.

Hey Wendy, since I’m just learning about resin and your videos motivate me ♥️. Is it okay to use water based metallic market for 1- coloring the sides of coaster before pouring the resin ? 2- Once let’s say the bookmark is ready, I can use it to write the name and let it dry and pouring a layer of clear resin on top ? I have these 2 questions if you may please help ♥️

You can use any marker that does NOT have oil or wax in it as long as it is completely dry before pouring resin. However as I have not tried the markers you are talking about then I should add they may stain your mould. As for the book mark, why not try it on a test piece first to see if it works. It’s 2part epoxy resin. It comes in two halves which you mix together for it to set 😀💜👍

My sister got me some glow -in-the-dark pigments. This encourages me to use them in some pens that I should be making. Although purples are my favorite, they never seem to take on a good coloration for glowing.

I added glow powder and it seems like some spots are soft

It should cure okay. You can load it up a lot as it’s not liquid but might take a little longer to cure than normal 😀 hope this helps 😀👍❤️

I got some glow in the dark acrilic paint from Walmart. The paint works great in resin. I made some cabochons with them, I think using those same molds. I love the pens you did. Good job turning them.

I've never tried the glow in the dark pigments, I was thinking wouldn't they be nice used for a 3d flower on a light up base. Do you seal paper flowers before adding to resin? Some say you need to seal others say it's not necessary. Congratulations to the winner xx

I’ve put paper flowers in resin without sealing them with no problem at all. However I do think it depends on what the paper is whether the colours could bleed or the paper shrivel 😳 I hope that is a little way to helping you. I have a flower in egg video up with paper in it. Have a look 😀👍❤️

That spiral pen looks amazing! Fun fact: I just found my stash of glow in the dark pigments so this video couldn't have been more perfectly timed! I picked up a new (to me) kind of resin today and as it's polyester resin I don't think my liquid epoxy resin dyes work, thus I had to find my powder pigments. Congratulations Debs!

I love all things that glow & neon colors too! I’ve been putting glow-in-the-dark powder in almost everything lately. I used lilac glow powder in the white resin on a rainbow bloom tray a couple of weeks ago, and it looks so cool! Your pens turned out AMAZING! I especially love the spiral one. ✌🏼💜🛼

The reason the powder sank Is because you didn't mix it properly. You have to mix them for 3 minutes I learnt that the hard way 😂😂😂😂

Oh no, it’s just always active. You can charge it with a torch to see it’s full effect, but the brighter the light the more it glows in the dark 😀😀💜
