Nice job. One thing though, the headlight seems to be set to spot low flying birds 😂

My brother owned one back in the day, amazing banshee sound and 2-stroke manic power band!
@PetesClassicCycleАй бұрын
That's awesome! Nothing quite like the 2 stroke sound. that's for sure

Beautiful Bike! Best thing to do about the handling is to brace the bottom of the frame and put a better steering damper and a fork brace and progressive fork springs. A DG swingarm helps too.

Terrifying moments of surging off set by weaving wollowing and peg scraping!! And a slight dragging when braking but 100% fun 👍❗

Too much chat, not enough riding...
@PetesClassicCycleАй бұрын
well..the point of the video was to talk about what was done to the bike. There is another video on my youtube with more riding sequences of this bike.

I'm sure the back light is the wrong type for the year. I've got a 72 S2 with that shape of light. By 73 all the 250s and 350s had the later oval shape, which I think this one would have had.
@PetesClassicCycleАй бұрын
You are right about the S2 switching to an oval light. The H1 however had this style from I believe 73-76.

This bike is always talked about as a "death machine." But I had two friends who rode them and I did some riding on their bikes and I found it to be a nice ride and perfectly safe unless you wanted to open it up. I wouldn't tour on it but otherwise it was a very good motorcycle.
@PetesClassicCycleАй бұрын
I agree. I think most of the reputation came from the fact that at the tine there was nothing else quite like it. So you go from a small Honda twin and jump on one of these, they must have felt like rocket ships and if not used correctly could bite.

@@PetesClassicCycle I think that it's more HOW you ride. I was riding a 1970 BMW R75 and my friends thought it was a lead sled. I don't ride revved into the red line.
