I would be looking for Israel to ensure there is some alternative system for getting civilians water before doing that. I wonder if the tunnel system tapped into the public water lines. I wonder if we get the whole story. As an engineer, I sometimes have other questions that people in an NGO might not have, not that they don't sometimes have engineers in their organization. It does seem a bit futile in that Hamas probably retains the ability to obtain aid food and water and distribute it throughout the organization. It's possible that some particular Hamas unit is cut off and vulnerable. Water and food are getting into Gaza, or many more would be dead by now.

I fault the UN for not setting up a process of settling every individual Palestinian claim for unjust eviction. That includes the US as a participant in that negligence. The UN should dedicate itself to compiling a full genealogy of the affected Palestinians if it does not already have that. It would seem that there are thousands of outstanding claims that have not been settled. If the day ever came when all claims were finally settled, I still wonder if there would be interests exercising a sense of opportunism due to the inflow of foreign money into this region.

Yea what that older man was saying on the streets is true. They don't want to negotiate. That's why the line "we don't negotiate with terrorists" was so popular right after 9/11 because the FBI and CIA figured out that when someone is angry they want to kill to kill and nothing can stop that. The killing is the point itself. So they thought if there's nothing they can do anyway might as well tell them that as a last ditch effort to try to stop it. Idk if that's a good method or questionable. At this point though what he said should be fairly obvious to everyone but of course there could be something I'm not seeing

Imagine a city where public transport is poor (due to sanctions). It is a problem for you to send your child to a music school because it is in another area, a problem to see relatives or friends for the same reason. Prices in stores are distorted because all stores have become local. Prices for housing are distorted because available space or less available affects prices. The city (planet) lives but as if in a bubble.
