I am torn between this exact rod and the TIDRIFT 5G TD5-862L/ML ( Major Craft )...both seem to be pretty similar with Tidrift being a bit more expensive. Any opinion? Thanks

I’ve not even had a tide drift in my hand so couldn’t say about any difference tbh. I do find this rod a touch soft/slow in some situations but for WW SPs it’s excellent. And does everything else well. Sorry I can’t help more tight lines 🎣

That rod looks very nice. I'm looking at the Major craft triple cross 10-30, the Savage gear sgs8 or the favourite skyline. Any recommendations??

Hi Colin, it’s all personal choice I think it is a nice rod to use but not cheap about £200. the rods you mention I haven’t used myself just think about the lures you are going to use the most and buy something in the correct weight range weed less weightless you probably be better with a rod that’s rated from 7g up ! If you need to Chuck bigger metals maybe go up to 40grams . Most people tend to go for a 7/35 for all round lure work. No need to get to hung up on it tho just go out and Chuck some lures 👍🏻
