Great stuff man. I think the 1st edition team rocket Charizard in. Psa 10 is underrated. For how expensive the box is, you can pick one up for only $3,500. Compared to any other wotc Charizard it’s the cheapest by almost half. Also think 1st ed base holos in psa 9 are incredibly undervalued as well. You can get more than half of them for $2k or less. Compared to the price of 1 heavy pack is about a 5th of the cost.

I think Expedition Base Set will skyrocket soon, it has by far the greatest Artworks and PSA cards are still selling on pretty low prices compared to the other Wotc Sets

From what I’ve seen so far, no, I don’t think it’s really worth investing a considerable amount of money in. I for one will probably get a box or two, but that’s about it for me. I don’t think this will be a top tier set by any means. Unless for some reason there’s a shiny Charizard vmax in this set or something. But as of right now, I’m not too impressed with it.

I for one LOVE Pokemon and have recently got back into collecting again. I love the Nostalgia and feel of collecting sealed products for my own personal enjoyment but currently I think there is a massive misconception of "Future Value" with "Investing" in todays modern Pokemon and think that holding product for 15 + Years or so will not see as much profitable growth as people expect. There is a massive difference in generational "Mindset" in Pokemon today than there was between the 90's and early 2000's. Back then, mostly people played the game without attaching overall "Economical Value" to the cards. Once bought, most cards were opened and treated like 'fun' and therefore lost any speculative future value and it was only a select few people that decided to "Collect/Invest" in the cards to hope for a decent return with hedging on the fact that the Pokemon Franchise would last and secondly that the cards became sought after as most Kids/teens and adults used them recreationally. It was so much harder to keep cards in "MINT" condition 20 years ago, now you are actively assisted with keeping cards in lasting and great condition with various ways, from sleeves, binders, top loaders etc. Yes, you could use the argument of "buy modern now it will be vintage later" but I think that is fairly disingenuous of the current inflation and trend. Pokemon is an amazingly beautiful game to play, collect and enjoy, but as far as "Investing" goes, I find it hard to understand how it contains future increased value from current prices as it's become common practice from kids to adults, collectors and investors, young and old, to purchase BULK sealed and normal cards of every new set and store it away, so in actual fact, demand is never dwindling, just remaining stagnant for years. Anyways, great video. Maybe the Japanese ideology is different, who knows?

Burning Shadows and Flashfire is not underrated. People have been pushing the value up on those sets as Shining Legends is overrated. Just for the simple fact that Charizard GX is pushing 3K when its a modern card and PSA 10's from Shining Legends are in the hundreds shows that there's a lot of attention for those cards. There's cards that's been around for almost 20 years that arent pushing 1000. however Cosmic Eclipse is the most underrated set in Sun and Moon.

I think XY Evolutions has mega potential to increase in value. Here is why: Base Set 1st edition will only be for the rich, same can be said about Shadowless base set. Unlimited base set keeps increasing in value so rapidly that it will also price it self out for the average collector. Legendary Treasures also is crazy expensive that will also price itself out. That leaves base set 2 and Evolutions. Base set 2 will eventually reach around $15k - $20k a booster box by the end of this decade meaning their will only be XY Evolutions that will be the only affordable reprint for the average collector. So I think XY Evolutions can definitely reach $1k - $2k per booster box in 7-10 years. Though we all know Pokémon will do another reprint of Base Set in 2026 for the 30th anniversary so people will wanna relive the XY Evolutions set since its the only affordable “nostalgia” option.
