Sorry to be that guy but i gotta point out that Hendrix was not well known in the US before he went to the UK. He was basically a session guitarist backing lots of artists in the US, some very good. Hendrix was spotted by a guy called Chas Chandler from English band the Animals, they did that tune "House of the Rising Sun". Chandler signed Hendrix and he was loved by the scene there back in England, people including the Stones, the Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jones and so on. Hendrix and others form the band The Jimi Hendrix Experience and the rest, of the very short years ahead, was,...history. There. Ive finished now.

One time I was at a bar with my buddy. I went to the bathroom but when I came out, I saw me sitting next to him in my seat. Except it clearly wasn't me. Walked up and tapped the guy on the shoulder. He turned and just said "holy shit". Everyone just assumed he was my brother if not twin.

It's probably so there's no issues with people saying it looks like some kid and making an issue of it. Publications, including online have to be so careful. Unfortunately, like many things atm it's got to the point where it's becoming ridiculous having to cover every base in case someone has an issue or gets offended or upset.

I doubt it’s done by going though each individual image and being carefully thorough. They probably just have something in their code that tells it to blur anything designated “child” or many variations of the word in their description, and AI just gets included too. Probably just done for making their process streamlined and most smoothly profitable. I doubt they think that carefully about it.

I went into a Quiznos for lunch one day and there was a big family that kept staring at me and staring at . But when I got up to leave a woman stopped me and said I looked just like her husband's sister who past away . She wanted to know if I would stay until he got out of the restroom so he could see me as soon as he did he started crying. He asked if he could hug me because he never got to say goodbye. I let him then took pictures with the family to show the rest of the family. I felt good I had given him his goodbye ☺️

You want to talk coincidence? Once, when I was twelve, I had a birthday party at a park. My mom hired a clown for a few hours. He danced around, made balloon animals, hit on my aunt Marna, passed out in the bushes, you know, the usual clown things. Fast forward twenty years to my daughter's fifth birthday party we had at a Showbiz pizza place. That same clown was throwing up in the alley behind that pizza parlor! He didn't have his make-up on but you could tell it was him. Now that's what I call eerie!

There was a story on the original Unsolved Mysteries where two identical soldiers met each other in passing at a train station, during WW2. IIRC they had the same last name, Palmer. But as they spoke, they couldn't find any relatives in common. However, they were both aware of a Palmer family legend. The man being interviewed said he took the other man's contact info but lost it. It always bothered me there were no updates. I would guess they were probably distant cousins. Having look-a-like distant relatives isn't unheard of (Elvis and grandson Ben, Queen Elizabeth and great-granddaughter Charlotte) but how coincidental they ended up face-to-face in military uniform.

The "Hugh Williams" tale is quite believable. While not as prevalent as say, a "John Smith" in English speaking countries the Christian name "Hugh" and the surname "Williams" are very common in Wales and Welsh families. It is very plausible so no mystery there im afraid 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

You are wrong about false cognate. False cognates are two words in two different languages which look alike (or similar) but have different meanings. The English word embarrassed looks similar to the Spanish word embarazada, meaning pregnant. There are many other instances between languages. Cognates are words having the same origin, such as the English word edifice and the Spanish word edificio. Both words mean building.

So #2, about what was said about how it's not confirmed if the beard twins had continued to keep in contact or not. If they truly haven't actually kept in contact after the circumstances speaks countless volumes about how even in such an unbelievable series of events, despite their uncanny resemblance and decision making skills (picking the same hotel, same pub etc), as much as people want to romanticize such an event to be much deeper or longer story. It really isn't. I'd honestly kind of prefer if that's how it ends. They enjoyed being able to be a part of a beautifully random, once in a life time opportunity and just let it be that. So many others would try and milk this for attention and honestly ruin the true meaning of such a meeting. We should be able to appreciate things in our lives without trying to take these things and define ourselves by these moments. We all have common, uninteresting moments that happen in our lives that we try and spin into much more interesting and important stories than they really are, while we also have beautiful moments that happen just as frequently that we don't appreciate as much as we should because no one else saw or experienced it with us, or can't be posted on social media so we feel validated.
