You had it right with Fleury for the Penguins, and that is a more impressive save, but his greatest save is at the last second of game 7 in the ‘09 finals, jumping in front of the final shot to win the Pens the cup

Nah, Frank Pietrangelo’s save on Peter Stastny in game six of the 1991 Patrick Division Semifinals was better. It’s simply known as The Save. The Penguins went on to win their first Stanley Cup afterwards.

As much as I love Fleury for the Penguins, the best save by a penguins goalie came from Sebastien Caron against the Philadelphia Flyers. Puck hits the far post, Caron slides towards his blocker side, puck comes out on Caron's glove side straight to a flyers player who then shoots it immediately, and somehow Caron is able to get his glove on it and keep it out. it's one of the best saves in NHL History.

While Henrik Lundqvist was mighty impressive, it is the wrong Ranger save. It is undoubtedly Mike Richter's save on Pavel Bure in the 1994 NHL Finals! Also for Florida Panther's I remember several insane stopages from John Vanbiesbruck the whole 1996 play-offs as this little man played out of his mind to near single handly take the Panthers to the finals against TOUGH Eastern opposition.

You got the Calgary Flames wrong. The top 3 saves ever by a Calgary Flames goaltender were made by 1 guy in the same game. Check out Mike Vernon in round 1 of the 1989 playoffs vs Vancouver. Never have I ever seen a goaltender steal a victory out of the jaws of defeat in a more jaw dropping dramatic fashion. Not even Dominic Hasek in the 1998 Olympics vs team Canada in the medal round is as good.

As a long time penguins fan, I have to say “the save” by backup goalie frank pietrangelo made down 3 games to 2 vs the devils to keep the penguins in the game so they could go on and win game 7 on their way to their first Stanley cup was the best. He ended his career with a 4.12 gaa but will forever be that guy for the pens!

Some excellent saves on this list But one typo, it’s Miikka Kiprusoff Yes he had a lot of options to pick from. But no save was bigger for the Flames than Mike Vernon in OT of game 7 of the first round in 1989 Stan Smyl had a breakaway and Vernon grabbed it out of the air Maybe not as spectacular as some, but if he doesn’t make that save they lose the series and don’t win the Cup Among Flames’ fans it is referred to as “The Save”
