The best example of a bromance was two dudes straight up marrying each other and using the tax benefits to buy up real estate. I remember the radio host asking them if they believe what they were doing is wrong but he hit back with "I love my husband, and unlike regular marriages ours isn't sexless. Just once not 24/7. I wasn't even being rude. And honestly it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The sentence she said. Every time I see it. Some people still think like that. I leave also comments so people who are younger understand this is not true. Boys can hug. And instead of shutting it down you should say the same. That's how things change. TLDR: Topanga's actress was cold when Angela returned to GMW and made racial jokes about her on BMW in the past. Others too. She was full of herself and I can't look at her the same, tho she apologized on Twitter. To be honest (and probably not very nice) Topanga got a little bit full of herself as the most prominent female lead of the show. She was on this show from 11 to like 21 and a decade of being the special one can make you a bit of an attention seeker. I think the actresses personality leaked into the character. The main actress admitted on Twitter that she was very cold and unwelcoming to the woman who played Angela on GMW and one of the people who made racial jokes on set of BMW in the past. Angela's actress said that Topanga and Eric's actors were some of the worst at the mean comments and Shawn was the only person who was never disrespectful and who stood up for her. I understand the 90's were a different time. But I just can't look at Topanga the same, knowing the actress who played her was a discriminating mean girl.(I'm not going to call her a racist because that should not be used lightly and without proof of intent) Sorry for the rant.

One odd thing about this relationship though is after Cory and Topanga had their first kid according to GMW Shawn basically left the friendship for 14 years. I get friends drift as people age, but as close as these two were I found it odd that Shawn didn't stick around to be Uncle Shawn to Corey's kids really.

That's life. His friends were married, starting a family, while he was single and had no direction to his life. Friendships like that often (not always, but often) fade out if the "imbalance" remains. Note that Shawn started spending more and more time around after he met Katy and their relationship grew. It put him on a more "equal" footing with Cory and Topanga. And, of course, it helped that his new family was already close to Cory and Topanga's family.
