Amazing what technology can do Jeremy. Seem to have success using DeNoise and Sharpening separately in each program.

Love Topaz Photo AI....Interesting how you did this :). Thank you so much for sharing the transparency of how you did that :) - this is Lance Chennault from Germany btw :). You actually taught me about the Noise remove plus detail instead of Sharpen....Thank you for that

Of course! I wanted to show openly the process of how I got this shot and how Topaz helped it in order to encourage others in similar scenarios :) Yea I've found for already in focus subjects that detail slider does a much cleaner job than sharpen. Hope it helps you too!

I have Topaz denoise, giga and sharpen. Is it worth going to photo ai? And maybe you can make a video showing the difference between them?
@officialwilder Жыл бұрын
I would 100% say it's worth it, after using Photo AI for a month last year, I completely stopped using the other programs. Mostly due to 1: That it's more effective at denoising without causing banding, and in pretty much no image have I ever seen it struggle and leave a accidently noisy patch like would occasionally happen with Topaz Denoise. 2: That the sharpening is much more fine detail and subtle in it's control, so you don't get things drastically over sharpened like in Topaz Sharpen sometimes 3: Photo AI does a much better job with not accidently adding fringing to many images as opposed to the older programs doing that more Topaz Gigapixel to Topaz Photo AI is harder to notice a difference in my opinion I'd encourage you to download the RAW files in the description to see the shots blown up on your own computer screen!

So topaz photo AI is like denoise and sharpen AI in one? Does it make normal denoise obsolete?? Thank you!
@officialwilder Жыл бұрын
Yes, but more advanced. It is a replacement for Denoise and Sharpen and ultimately makes them much less valuable. You could argue there is still value to them if you are on a budget and don't want to buy the full Photo AI program, but Photo AI is much better than Denoise and Sharpen at both denoising and sharpening, hope that helps! :)

I've been using Topaz AI for quite a while now, and I still learned some things from this video, so thank you. One question... Did you speed up the rendering in Topaz for the video? That was far faster than on my fairly high spec Windows desktop.
@officialwilder Жыл бұрын
That makes me happy to hear! I didn’t speed up the rendering at all, I’m using a M1 14inch MacBook Pro, the new M1 and M2 chip Mac’s are just that fast haha 😂
@alexmans8970 Жыл бұрын
@@officialwilder Oh no. Now I'm no longer blissfully ignorant regarding the speed of my system 😁

Wonderful! A couple of questions: 1) What resolution was the video, and what resolution the screenshot? 2) Was the screenshot taken as a jpeg?
@officialwilder Жыл бұрын
You can see it in the files available for download in the description of the video, but it was a little less than a 4k screenshot and yes it was taken as a jpeg :)

@@officialwilder You can pull a full quality frame from a video and it actually has a small amount of highlight and shadow detail you can pull out of it. I used to do it in premiere pro, it's very easy there is a button to export frame. There are video tutorials on youtube. This could help you get a marginally better starting point for the edit
