Dave, I have been competing in digital art for a few years now. It has been a blast. My work was done on an iPad using various programs such as Procreate, iColorama etc. After getting the TK9 panel, learning PS and now Topaz Studio 2, you have helped me consider moving to the desktop for my work. Thank you!

I'e used Topaz filters for quite a few years now and I'm devastated that Topaz has decided to no longer update Studio 2. There is nothing else like it. It's still working under Ventura but will the next OS upgrade break it? If Topaz no longer update it, where will we turn? Please Topaz, you have a unique product, please continue to update it at least in line with OS upgrades even if you don't add anything more to it.

Very good video as always Dave. TOPAZ LABS, we artists and photographers love your products and need you to continue to develop your excellent products. I have used Impression for many years and love it. Stands out above the rest of the products that are similar. Although I bought Studio 2 a while ago, I've just recently come to appreciate all it does!

Who knows Arlene, maybe they will change their minds if they see enough of us want them to keep making editing software. GigaPixel, DeNoise and Sharpen Ai are all great but there is more to editing than just those products and they have shown us they can really make good products.

@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly Dave, I agree that if Topaz Labs sees that enough people are interested in Studio 2 they might keep making editing software. I suggest that it is better if people contact Topaz Labs directly using their Ticket submittal process to request continued improvement support, instead of hoping that Topaz Labs reads comments from your videos. Maybe the squeaky wheel will get some grease. I wouldn’t be surprised if Studio 2 is introducing the specs that you got in your video image. I experience Studio 2 not updating correctly when adding effects or not saving correctly, and Studio 2 crashes on me periodically. That being said, I think that Topaz Labs probably doesn’t currently have programming expertise to support Studio 2 beyond maybe fixing a bad bug and keeping it compatible with new OS’s. They would probably have to be extremely motivated to spin up their programming capability at this time to improve Studio 2 capabilities and features. For the original Studio, I complained that lots of the useful capabilities from their FXLab plugin were omitted from Studio. They admitted that the person who programmed FXLab had left Topaz Labs and they didn’t know how to reverse engineer the software to port capabilities over to Studio. So, I believe that many of the creative photo software engineers that worked on Studio 2 have probably left Topaz Labs by now, given that Topaz Labs is focused on their current AI product line.

Hi Dave, thanks for taking us along again. I too would like to see TS2 developed further. At the very least, it would be nice if the Photoshop plugin would work on the Apple M1 without having to launch Photoshop in Rosetta mode.

@@thejoyofeditingwithdavekelly If TS2 will not be developed further, I have an idea for a new toolbox series: Boris FX Optics 2022. The possibilities this tool offers are almost endless. And, it works without any problems with the Apple M1 😏

I, like another reply, got a message from Topaz stating that regretfully, they are not going to update Studio 2 & it will soon become a Legacy program. I also would totally love to see you start a series with Boris FX Optics. Can only imagine what you could do with it! Please consder it!

Dave - Once again, a great demo. Topaz Gang - I know you love your AI stuff but us creatives are starved for more artistic and fun effects! Please consider cranking out these kind of products in parallel with AI tools. And deliver them with LOTS of cool presets like you used to. How about a LUT filter or app on the order of ReStyle where you can visually see hundreds of possibilities. And bring back community presets too.

another terrific tutorial! So glad you are doing Tool Box videos again. Topaz is great and special and they do need to continue to support it and of course if would be great if they improve/enhance it. Does Topaz see your videos? Have you contacted them to tell them about all you do and the amazing reponse you get to them and to their software? I am going to try and contact them directly to be sure they are indeed aware of how much their users love and are loyal to their unique Studio tools.

Topaz AI tools are great BUT Topaz Studio was and should be Topaz's bread and butter software. It's part of the company's DNA and should be left on the side of the road and discarded. Please Topaz make Studio what it needs to be again a fundamental tool in the editing toolbox.
@Ilene10202 жыл бұрын
Just received this response from Topaz: Hi and thanks for reaching out. We certainly understand the dissappointment around our decision to not to develop Studio 2 any further. Unfortunately, our AI image quality apps have become the core of our business both in what we want to focus on and in what consumers are looking for. Our Studio 2 users are a very very small percentage of our overall customer base and demand for our image quality apps and improvements to those apps exceeds the demand for our previous creative work by many many multiples. Unfortunately given the business climate we're in and the general demand for our AI products as compared to our creative apps, this was a decision we felt obligated to make for the best interest of our overall user base and for our company. That being said, we are aware this is disappointing for a fair number of our longtime customers and we genuinely regret that disappointment. Regretfully, -- Eric Lowery Operations Manager Topaz Labs
