Honorable mentions: 1. Ferrari FF : It was a Ferrari 'station wagon' but it was actually a really good daily driver. Proper seating for 4 and AWD means you finally have a proper Italian exotic that you can use as your daily. 2. Suzuki Kizashi : An unexpected and a proper Mid-size sedan from a manufacturer that made small hatchbacks and SUVs. It still amazes me that why such a good car never got so many customers. Was the Kizashi so underrated or the Camry/Accord were so overrated? 3. Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 : A muscle car that can give Porsches a run for their money around corners. Finally a muscle car that isn't only made for straights but can also pass every corner.

On the Kizashi, I remember reading that it was only available at Hyundai and Subaru dealers in NA because Suzuki's dealer network was only limited to bikes at this point. I see a few around, but not too many anymore

Kizashi had a fairly powerful engine and sporty looks but it came with a CVT so any sporty driving was out of the question - that's the reason I think that caused it to not sell well.

About Suzuki Kizashi, I think it's that Kizashi is underrated and the Camary and Accord are overrated. Also, this might be only me, but the Kizashi is beautiful

the kizashi was sold in India, however it was introduced in the wrong place, at the wrong time. If they re-introduce it now, for a lesser price and higher mileage, it might sell well. Although suv's, mpv's and hatchbacks are quite popular here, it will sell well among the car community of teens here.

@@bmatys91 Yeah I agree on this that the Kizashi didn't had a lot of variants. There was only one 2.4L Inline-4 engine with 188hp for all 4 trim levels. Also there were only two gearboxes available, a Manual one for FWD only and CVT. At the same time the Accord had a variety of engines to offer like there was a 2.0L, 2.4L Inline-4, 3.5L V6 and a 2.2L Turbo diesel Inline-4.

Porsche had a great reputation in endurance rally before the Cayenne. Even the 959 was developed for Group B. If there's a sports car brand that could make a great SUV for off road, it's definitely Porsche

tbf, it's actually not entirely true to give porsche all the praise, since VW actually did most of the engineering as they wanted the touareg on which the cayenne is inevitably based, to be a superior product to the mercedes ML of the time (back when VW tried to challenge MB) Porsche simply added more power and voila: first supersuv since the lambo LM002

Yes, it’s the VW Group, but the Cayenne is most closely based on an Audi, as is the Lamborghini Urus. Other brands and models exist in the group; like the Audi R8 being the Lamborghini Gallardo/Huracan.

My neighbor and several people I knew have Figaro's here in the UK , being rhd from Japan they're quite popular with us Brits! They're extremely hard to buy parts for and they rot really badly unfortunately but otherwise they look pretty cool, came in loads of different colour combos and they have a signature shell equivalent to rhinos on Suzukis or sharks on vauxhalls etc.

About the Dino 208 GT4, when mentioned that Gandini designed the car, it also mentions he was responsible for designing the De Tomaso Pantera, but as far as I know, the Pantera was designed by Tom Tjaarda and only much later "updated" by Gandini in the Ghia Studio, in the early 90's. It could instead be replaced with the Lamborghini Miura, the Alfa Romeo Montreal or the Bugatti EB 110, all jaw-dropping designs that represent Gandini's finest works. Great video by the way!

I'm not gonna call myself a PROUD Smart driver but it is an amazing little thing. You ALWAYS find a spot, you can ALWAYS just turn around in 3 strokes, you can fill it up and go 500miles, the trunk is THERE and it's been enough for shopping and travel for 2, idk what to say. If you don't NEED more - or can't take the low standing in traffic, that's a fact! - you should be fine and it's DAMN EASY and chill to drive and you'll never be stopped like you would in something cool😊 There are even women who say it's cute and proves your confidence isn't based on a car

If we're looking through with heart and not head/brain here then sure the Z or the GR Yaris/Corolla would be an obviously better choice to enjoy in. After all, if you buy a sports car made with surgical precision than with thrills then it'd not be fun (cough cough NSX, both generations. Fast and has character but for... some reason most would say boring to drive as is because it's "too safe".) Only in competitive environment do you choose the EV over the other two, because it's clearly superior in performance. Handling maaaybe not in the same value, but make no mistake, it'll be a close race ONLY during the corner. Once exiting the corner, the Kia will leave most sports cars of it's price range for dead with a cold, nearly silent electric whine.

As a car for a quick acceleration, electric is great, as a car for daily driving or as a family car, EVs will be soon convenient (I say will be, because there is still a problem with time required for charging, low mileage, reliability, and safety(electric cars catch fire often)). But that's all they can mostly offer. I'm not against electric vehicles, and Kia EV GT is a great electric car. It's mind blowing, how can this family hatchback/crossover car outrun supercars. I just don't understand how in the category "drivers car", EV can beat I.C.E. sportscars. Toyota Yaris has a rally inspired suspension, a lot of AWD options, drift on snow, light weight, nice hp-to-weight ratio. Nissan Z has a RWD configuration (grip and drift), and has nice handling, following the previous generations of Z cars. Both can have a manual gearbox. The feeling that engines of both cars give is astonishing: constant acceleration coming with revving sounds. EVs give their power from lowest RPMs, but then acceleration gets smaller. Yes, Kia EV can handle well, accelerate well, but it's not enough for a great driver's car.

@@abrakadabra5023 probably same logic was used to make the Kia EV as is with the Tesla Model X to have an unusually "sporty" handling. Low COG (center of gravity), best suspension you can have, some tuning help and experience (Kia having Hyundai who deals in the N performance division, and themselves having made the Stinger before) and electronic aid tricks, probably like one of those McLaren limited slips that only allows drifting up to a certain angle or something and assists in keeping the power down when losing grip. In the case of sounds, I have nothing to talk about that really, it's the reality that you either get a boring silence or fake engine noise from the stereo that just hums, or Tesla Roadster's (actually cool, I'd say, but nowhere close to Jaguar F-Type V6/R V8 cool) whine

The smart car is everything you say, but there are other things that are a problem. The petrol versions break at 100k kilometres: the engines usually give up around that mark. Second thing is that it is rear wheel drive with the engine in the back: it's good for a Porsche but with such a small wheelbase it's a deathtrap in winter.

Big problem with the Kia is that in Canada in 2024 a lady went in to dealer who said she needed a battery as she scarred the belly pan hitting rocks that fell on highway in British Columbia which came to 60k which was 5k more than the car was six months earlier. Kia says wait the dealer quoted the wrong price but then a guy in Ontario Canada says wait a minute Weinerheads I was quoted same price just this year for my KIA EV battery replacement.

Yes, the second series Viper was indeed a match for the others, but that has (almost) always been acknowledged - it is the first series which got the stick, and rightly so... The EV6 GT is not the first electric Kia... and it may be a match for speed and handling - but it is no match for emotion.

The problem with the 5th gen Prius is the styling became more important than interior space and ease of entry. Also, the spaceship IP is worse than the first 4th gen stupid IP. We'll see if all these "I'm cool too" aspects of the new generation will translate into repeat sales. Myself I'm hoping they'll calm down so I can buy my 8th Prius.

Smart Car: I thought it'd be loaded with lot's of modern-day fuel efficiency technology. Hence the name "Smart Car" and get like 55+mpgs. Since it's a little 800-ish pound tuna can on wheels. But nope....it only gets like 39 combined real world mpgs. The Elio 3 wheel car was supposed/claimed to get like 75 hwy mpgs.

The Dodge Viper was easily the best value-for-money sports car for its performance. Shame they ended production on Viper models back in 2017.
