Yes I have this and they prescribed me Ursodiol...because they caught it early the Dr said I should have a normal lifespan...those who catch it late maybe not....the key is early detection

Bartonella is an intra-cellular bacti. which colonizes the endothelium of blood vessels, especially capillaries, all over the body. A person, especially female, may have Raynaud's syndrome from early in their lives and not know this is a manifestation of Bartonella. Raynaud's is another symptom labeled as autoimmune. Could PBC be caused by the blockage of small capillaries impeding the blood flow and innervation of those small bile tubules ? I think this is very likely. Unfortunately, even though intracellular parasites can do untold horror for mankind, including mental illness due to brain involvement, reliable diagnostic tests remain in the dark age of health care. What is a fact is that these infections do lead to autoimmune diseases and on to different cancers, especially many types of lymphomas. Thank you.

I've had problems with my gallbladder ever since I got bitten by some weird insect which is said to carry Bartonella schoenebuchensis and even though, I never had a cat, I was IgG positive for Bartonella henselae. I also had joint and psychiatric problems which resolved with self-bought Doxycycline. Japanese knotweed, sida acuta and scutellaria baicalensis also helped in relaxing the gallbladder and treating bartonella. However, I have not taken those herbs in quite some time (like three months) and since two weeks ago I slowly have noticed the corners of my eyes turn yellow and I just hope, it's not PBC... Oh and there are other bacteria which might be even more likely to trigger to PBC, but they are even more unheard of.

I find it very interesting there are two comments on here about vector/parasite bites. I had an engorged tick on me for 53 hours. Tests aren't always positive when you truly have an infection. I ended up getting treated but had mild symptoms of fever and fatigue for five months and burning nerves and anxiety for a year and a half. During that time I was diagnosed with positive high titer anti-nuclear antibodies, with AVISE diagnosing coagulation antibody-antiphospholipid syndrome --a clotting disorder --and Labcorp suggesting I be checked for PBC. Both labs said nuclear dot pattern and Labcorp said AC6/AC7 reference - PBC testing needed. It does seem quite likely that if I end up having PBC, it is because of the small vessel disease. BARTONELLA is the likely coinfection I acquired from the tick. I am currently taking nattokinase and will be reevaluated by another rheumatologist and hepatologist soon

When they say they don’t know what causes it 🙄 In this day and age, esp with the trillions of dollars thrown into the healthcare pot, it’s either lyme+co, parasites, or vaccines. Get the book The Sleeper Agent and prepare yourself for some hard core reality.

My wife has symptoms and fibrosis already at 41. Her itching hasn’t let her sleep in months. My question is how come IV Glutathione isn’t recommended for this at all?

I found relief with Questran powder, which is indicated as a treatment for pruritus/itching. It's dissolved in orange juice and took about a week to feel full effects. It may be worth her speaking to her doctor to try it. It's absolutely maddening so I hope she gets some relief.

Doctor a unique discovery. Mustard oil mixed with mashed turmeric ( haldi) warmed when applied gave relief. Thought this may be useful for PBC patients feeling intense itch.
