The actual flamingo feathers themselves are pink due to the beta-carotene the bird eats, not because of being stained. Flamingo's eating high beta-carotene levels are bright and vibrant, low levels turn light pink or white. And Lake Baikal is in Siberia Russia, not Serbia 🤦🏻‍♀

@@brett4264 Yes, "they" do know from the diets of flamingos being kept in captivity in zoos and aviaries, and from being studied by biologists lol. Beta-carotene consumption has a direct correlation with the color of the bird. In humans eating high amounts of beta-carotene (like eating tons of carrots for example) turns the person's skin an orange-yellow color.

Correction: at time-stamp 18:07 in the transcript of this video you said: "it's located in Serbia" But in fact Lake Baikal is in "sy-BEER-ee-ə" and NOT in "SUR-bee-ə" - WIKI: It is situated in southern Siberia, between...Irkutsk Oblast to the northwest and the Republic of Buryatia to the southeast.

Good Lord! The nuke plant was DOWNSTREAM of Lake Baikal. It couldn't hurt the lake if it wanted to. And the bottled water would've been a drop, of a drop, of a drop, in the bucket that is Lake Baikal. Environmentalists are of why we can't have nice things anymore.

Lakes are AMAZING and really important in our world, here in Finland we Have over Thousand lakes. The pink lake Looks very nice But dangerous lakes aren't nice like that dead sea, btw there's many sea named lakes like Black sea too. I've heared about beautiful Lake where's park underwater and that's sounds awesome. That Lake Baikal Looks so beautiful and magical. That video was so good and interesting, lakes are BEST, its nice swimming in lakes. 🌊
