My grandfather was a diesel mechanic for the Hull Rust mine for US Steel during WWll & the Korea War. He didn’t go into the military because he was needed to keep the steel industry alive during the wars. The town Hibbing was moved 3 miles south to Alice (now Hibbing). My grandfather fed the neighborhood children during the Great Depression. Most of my family were born & raised in Hibbing. Fun fact, Greyhound bus originally started as taxi from original Hibbing & Alice (current Hibbing) which was about 3 away. The Greyhound museum is near the original Hibbing (what is left of it). Another fun fact, Bob Dylan (Robert Zimmerman) was raised in Hibbing (my aunt who still lives in Hibbing was his classmate in high). Dylan supports the town in various ways.

It's crazy that despite the sizes of these ENORMOUS mining areas, when the google earth pans in from high altitude; you can't even see it on the land mass, until it gets pretty close!

Considering it was the Canucks who have the expertise and knowledge to build and operate the mine. It would make sense they get the higher share of revenue. Sure, if the Canucks didn't build the mine. A different country would have, but the did build it.
