I'm glad there are still places like these, man doesn't need to access every inch of our blue ball. 🌎

02:09 The fact that 250 people live on Tristan da Cunha, the world’s most remote inhabited island, blows my mind! No airport, only a handful of ships, and a six-day voyage through the South Atlantic? Talk about dedication and isolation!

@@v.m.m101 That's wild, right? Imagine the level of self-sufficiency and close-knit community you'd have there! But that isolation and long journey through the open ocean is no joke! Would you ever give it a shot?

@@YouandLife5.0 I would like to get away from people, you wouldn’t believe the types I’ve been dealing with! I guess it’s easier said than done. Watch me run back to the city as soon as the first ship leaves!
@YouandLife5.03 күн бұрын
@@v.m.m101 I totally get that! The idea of escaping it all is tempting, but the reality of such a remote life can be intense. It's funny how isolation can sound like paradise until you're truly cut off-then suddenly the city doesn't seem so bad. Thanks for sharing your thoughts; it’s all about finding that balance!

I have no idea if the pronunciation was 100% accurate but it certainly seemed like it given the cultures and locations. Well done!

If Tristan da Cunha is 1732 miles from South Africa then St Helena at 2400 miles away cannot be its 'closest neighbour'. Math would indicate that, if nothing else South Africa is a closer neighbour...

I'm confused....you said no way in but by boat on the Kergulen Islands but showed a shot of their base that had 3 airplanes. How did the planes get there then?

That island is accessible. It’s the people who prevent further exploration of the island. They deserve the right to protect their land.

this video is truly fascinating, and the visuals are stunning! however, i can't help but wonder if some of these places are really that inaccessible. i mean, with modern technology, isn't it just a matter of time before we can reach even the most remote spots? just seems a bit exaggerated to me. what do you all think?
@JeanStAubin-nl9uo3 күн бұрын
I beleive they are really inaccessible, most of them, when you hear him explain how many miles they are from inahabited places, how bad the weather can be, lack of infrastructure and not being able to fly there.
