Diamonds are extremely common in the universe as well as in the earth's crust, although most are out of reach for us. It is said that, most likely, the rarest material in the universe is wood.

@@cornbreadfedkirkpatrick9647 WTF are you even talking about? The original article for that came from the onion and it was popularize by a Tweet that was supposed to be satirical. I'm not taking up "the cause" for anyone, but if you are going to write things that just aren't true and is so easily disproved, you cant expect no one to call you out on it. There are plenty of truth's out there you can quote and be accurate, you dont have to use made up shit to try to prove a point , doing so just takes away your credibility.

To be fair, almost any/every employer is like that... while you work for them, they own/take credit for everything you made/make during your employment. Sometimes you have to read your contract properly, because it can include stuff you make during your own personal time while you are still employed by them too!

The Cave of the Crystals is actually a type of Gypsum which is soft; #2 on the Mohs hardness scale which can be scratched with your fingernail. These huge gypsum crystals can often be confused with Quartz Crystal; the next crystal shown, but they are very different. Quartz Crystals are formed from Silica Dioxide and is # 7 on the Mohs scale. I live in the U.S. and in the state of Arkansas and you can go to a lot of places that are open to the public....pay a very small fee...and dig and keep any Quartz Crystals that you find. It is real fun and exciting to dig/hunt for Quartz Crystals because you never know what you will dig up, anywhere from individual crystals to clusters of crystals of all sizes; mostly hand size and somewhat larger, but not many find a cluster as large as the one shown here.

It was a geode..they form the shell part first had the crystals grow from pockets of mineral saturated water of the inside hollow has the same kid of water seep into hollow space. Diamonds ate the products of magma from volcanic action solidifying a certain way from just the right sort of magma..o you won't find Diamond. Crystals encased in the same way as a geode. You find diamonds a loose or in veins of volcanic rock....

I love crystals especially for the reason that it is used for spiritual healing. Recently I had an itching thought that maybe we are over mining the crystals and not thinking so much about what it'll do to mother earth because I see people posting online showing ridiculous amount of huge crystals being harvested and sold in outdoor markets. I really hope that is not the case. It only grows about two centimeter over a period of ten million years depending what type. With an increasing amount earthquakes going on recently over the years it affects the growth rate of crystals as well. We have to be mindful of how much we harvest. We should only take only what is needed. Sorry for being a party pooper but I think it makes sense to be moderate and not get overboard with harvesting mother earth's minerals. Let's show some love and respect to mother earth. Love and light to all taking the time to read this with an open mind. Namaste 💜

The cave of crystals reminds me of a scene in the original Superman movie. By the way what crystal is the closest in colour to the mythical Kryptonite?
@vanhattfield8292
@vanhattfield8292 3 жыл бұрын
The gem "Jadarite" is supposedly a nearly exact match for the chemical make up but not the look of the fictional Kryptonite and "Moldavite" is one that matches it in appearance.

Opals do not possess a crystalline structure.

Wikipedia says opals have an amorphous crystal structure and are considered mineraloids. Transparent opals are called crystals in the trade. Check out Black Opal Direct on KZbin. Many interesting videos.
