For those of you who don't know Hammond's watch is a Breitling Emergency. You pull the cord out, it sends an SOS signal, and then Breitling replace the watch free of charge.

Replacing the watch may be free, but as Jeremy says: the bill for pulling the pins and summoning a Rescue Force team to the @8th hole because the batteries on your cart are flat is astronomical. There was a story about a guy who did pull the pins on his golf course twice. The first time he did it to show his mates, he got the standard bill and a stern telling off from the team members. The second time he didn’t get a rescue team show up: they sent a lawyer and the charge they were billing was so enormous that he had to cancel his deposit on a Bugatti and sell a hotel.

@@Will-td8ro Feel free to do so. I understand. But for me, personally, this type of format is done after 15 years. Especially when the humour along the way between destinations is starting to be scripted. Enjoyed the Vietnam special a lot, because it was very refreshing, exploring more the world of boating and it's oddities and quirks. Also the culture of Asia. It just differed from the usual episodes, didn't felt like it's on autopilot.

I used to go to that Polish restaurant in South Kensington all the time. It really is excellent, I would heartily recommend it. It is called The Daquise. I have fond memories of their consomme when I caught a bad cold on a freezing evening in January.

That was one of my favorite episodes of Top Gear ever. They had the most British team in the world driving the best best, most quintessentially American vehicles ever made (Hennessey Velociraptor and Chevy Duramax)

For legal reasons Clarkson, Hammond and May can't use the words "Top" and "Gear" professionally. But, for some other reason, the BBC is still allowed to run a KZbin channel with nearly 5M subs which is filled with videos of Top Gear that include the hosts that BBC (Danny Cohen) did absolutely everything in his power to fire?! And still make money out of Clarkson? Really?

+Konstantin Sembos Yes. Clarkson and co. were paid to create that content by the BBC. They worked FOR the BBC. That's how employment works. When you work as a construction worker, and you get paid to build houses, you don't get to take the houses with you when they fire you, do you? Why would Clarkson get to take the TV show he made for the BBC with him? Of course the BBC still makes money off of this content. They paid for it. And they paid A LOT for it. It's theirs.

You two missed out on the proformance of the new ford raptor, which as the same 3.8L twin-turbo V6 from the new for gt. It's direct injected aluminum block will give you 500 horses to play with. The body is made from aluminum as well so it's lighter than the old 2010 model which mean more mpg (24mpg is rumored) electronic top sped for the road is just 100mph but off-road is 148mph

Mays Chevy broke down and didn't make it to the top of the mountain. Broke his drive axle going slow in the snow. Clarkson throttled the raptor and ripped a tire off the rim but still made it on three wheels because, you know... ...it's a Ford

I would have said. They cant do any kind of rescue on a Sunday. Also Monday was a bank holiday. Tuesday apparently one of the had to attend a funeral. Some idiots called R Hamster. Wednesday was Curry Wednesdays in the office and no one misses curry Wednesdays. Thursday apparently the football was on. Friday well its the start of the weekend, everyone knows that in then UK. Saturday everyone was going to a barbecue hosted by Richard Hammond's wife.

That's not true at all. Where Hammond was camping there was a ski resort 3 miles away which can be seen in the programme where Jeremy and James stayed the night before going to "rescue" Hammond. At the time the production company refused to put a time lapse camera to prove to the public Hammond was there yet they refused

That particular episode had me laughing but after a while I stopped laughing and actually began to genuinely share in Hammond's frustration at Clarkson and May. They really over did it with the excuses and their unwillingness to even acknowledge it, they had to have faked this because if this were real, they'd be screwing over not only Hammond, but the three crew members (who there would have been no room in either truck to get home) as well. If that had been real and they left them stranded for 4 days, Hammond maybe can take the joke but if I worked on that crew and was expecting a rescue only to wait that long in those conditions? I'd have been on the phone with HR and a Lawyer when I got back.

I dunno, but he did seem like he wanted to kill Jeremy when he finally got to him and decided to leave him behind. In the end, they ended up having to get an actual search-and-rescue team to get Hammond off the mountain because James's Silverado broke down and Jeremy's VelociRaptor was crippled

in american english you're right, top gear isnt american though and in british english we don't use the word desert at all and pudding has the definition that americans give to the word desert i.e whatever you have as the final course of the meal.
