normal car: steady, careful, gently, ouch subaru: floor it, big smile

To be fair, what would you consider "normal"? It's obvious that the Subaru, as an awd, has the advantage over rwd and fwd. Not trying to talk down the Subaru, I like them alot, just saying that the drivetrain already makes a ton of difference, and there are many "normal" cars, that come with the same, and sometimes even better awd drivetrains.

Londons Finest Top Gear began in 1977. Clarkson joined in 1988, and in 2000, when the original format was dying, James May was the presenter. Then, the original format stopped, and broke into 2 shows: 5th gear, with Tiff Needell & Jonny Smith, and Top Gear with Clarkson & two new blokes, Jason Dawe and Richard Hammond. In Season 2, out with Dawe, and in with May.

Those Ugandan soldiers are absolutely insane. The strength they had to push the car back then build a new road in barefeet was absolutely incredible. They seemed like nice guys too. Definitely made a strong statement for a small place

I know it's an old post but Clarkson actually wrote an articel about this journey.The only car that survived the hole journey without problems was the e39. The faults he got mechanicly was caused by him. Both subaru and volvo broke down several times. He actually went as far as saying e39 was the best car top gear ever featured.

I have an old Subaru tale that would be fun to share. All I have to say is it took a hell of a beating and was sold with 273k miles. Many trips down the beach covered in snow with people piled in and on top. It never once let me down and still see it around town every now and then. I bet it is well north of 400k miles. We used to take it on ice race tracks in the winters, down old ski trails, old four-wheeler trails in the summer, etc. We tried to kill it. Only thing we didn't do was submerge it in water over the air box or launch it off a cliff.

Both audi and subaru have there pros and cons!
@miljororforsprakpartiet2908 жыл бұрын
:D:D My dad has a 2013 A3 quattro and I drive a 2015 Outback at work, they aren't really comparable but I like them both a lot. The Audi is obviously a bit more fun, because of its livelier steering, better performance and 40/60 AWD. The Subaru is a bit more of a family estate, but it's very fun to throw around sideways and let that boxer engine roar :D The cons are as well as obvious; Audi is a diesel, and the Subie is equipped with an incredibly slow CVT gearbox wasting a lot of the driving experience.
