Noris Kadum That's because this game featured some of the most unforgiving and unexplained problem solving ever placed in a game. Boy did the developers love punishing people for guessing wrong!

This is the first dark atmosphere-y game I ever played as a young kid. That intro music will stick with me forever.

This game kicked my ass so many times when I was a kid. Back then I couldn't read english and the invisible monster's room were as far as I could go.

Such beautiful graphics and animations for a 90s game! You can even see the wizard'z butt when in battle!! Never knew of this, and has suddenly become one of my favorite games, ever.. a shame I didn't play it in my days. Great run, though I wouldn't mind a commentary track for this game's walkthrough to understand some actions.

20:15 if I just saw my war buddy fight an old dude and get his skin magically peeled from his skeleton, I don't think I'd run up to the old guy and call him foolish.

I remember this game being impossibly hard.

The ending is far better than I could've ever imagined for this game. It shouldn't be this satisfying, but you know what? After seeing the Dragon descend back to its lair and the wizard nodding in understandment, it is.

" _As long as I have this amulet, the dragon can't attack me! Mwahaha, it was almost too easy to lure you here! Now, I will enjoy watching you become a crisp my apprentice as the Dragon can't attack me, but it can attack yo-_ " - *YOINK* - " _..... Oh goddam-_ " - *FWOOOOSH* -

The goblin fights are like that saying from the film "Troy": "Make him swing and miss; he'll tire."

Extremely difficult and challenging game. Demanded that you not only got good at the controls and learned the mechanics, but you had to remember a hell of a lot of the game too where a wrong decision / guess could kill you. Sort of like the difficulty in learning Rick Dangerous and it's sequel.

Such an amazing improvement over the NES version. I like the resolution being so much better and being able to see what the hell is going on! Great walkthrough!

This game, in my oppinion, inspired the Dark Souls games.

Flavio Kauling No, mainly King's Field, Zelda, and Berserk (mangas) inspired Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Many of the details of the world are similar to Berserk with a lot of the gameplay with stuff like bosses inspired from Zelda. There are long dungeons, big bosses, and keys needed to unlock doors. The design of Sen's Fortress reminds me of the Shadow Temple from Ocarina in some ways. Many of the role playing aspects come from King's field (except with more customizing within the game), and the exploration also mainly comes from King's Field. The Balder knights' designs are similar to Guts' costume in Berserk, and bosses like the Minotaur on the bridge are almost ripped straight out of Berserk. If Dark Souls were made in the NES era, though, it would probably be similar to this. But, all I am saying is that this probably didn't inspire Dark Souls.

Years ago people spent money on a game, around £35 to £50 for mega drive games when i was younger, for a game that was under an hour long, once you knew it, but we were happy and played it over and over. Years ago, we had games that were buggy, we just laughed about it with friends. Years ago, we had games that crashed or wouldn't load, we just took them out and blew in them, then got on with it. Years ago, we had games that were crap, waste of money, we just borrowed other games or tossed it away and got on with it. These days though We spend around the same on games today, as we did back then, and somehow people think we pay too much. We spend between £50 to £55 on a game that is 20 too 40 hours long, and people moan saying they are ripped off. People play games that are buggy, and they take too social media and cry like babies, saying gaming is broken. People play games that crash, and they take too social media, acting like it is a personal attack on them. People pay for games that are crap, and they have too tell the world that dev's are conning you, gaming is awful. Conclusion..... I am 44, and i have never seen a more bigger group of complaining idiots, than that of ''gamer's'', they are total snowflakes. God i wish we could go back too a time when gaming was just that, gaming! Not a lifestyle or job.

I love how dragon just sits there and watch two wizards dueling :) He must be thinking something like this: "Old man with staff don't attack, only dodge. Oh! Old man without staff cast a lightning! Huh. Countered with statue spell. One more time? Same result. And another one. Still don't do anything to penetrate statue defence. This is becoming boring to... "Mortimer casts Sonic" MY EARS!!! IF OLD FART WASN'T HOLDING THIS BLASTED THING, HE WILL BE NOTHING BUT A PILE OF ASH RIGHT NOW!!! At least fight still going. ... Old man without staff is 100% spam-happy today. And summoning this bone-thingy don't help ether." Mortimer: NERF THE STATUE SPELL - IT'S OP!!! "This blasted thing you hold is op. And now he talks. Like a lot. Thought it will be entertaining to watch, but noooo. Instead i got this stupid spam-fest. So boring. Oh! Thing changes hands! BURN THE BASTARD!!! ... It feels good ^_^ ... Old man with staff still don't attack me. And now he has thingy. Welp, it left me only one thing do to. Screw you guys, i going home."
