Juri is such a well-designed and great character overall that it almost feels like she’s always been there with the rest of the classic SF cast. Most of other newcomers stick out like sore thumbs due to there sheer annoyance (Rufus), being uninteresting (Abel), or wasted potential (Nacalli). Not Juri. She’s the entire package!

I like that originally Juri was meant to be a legit Chun-Li clone both have the same backstories and want revenge on Bison but the creators I believe Ono said that Juri must be an extremely vengeful and sadistic character to differentiate herself in contrast to Chun-Li.
