I am an Iron man, but I do love all of the HD line especially the sportsters and Dynas. You have a gorgeous bike. Ride safe and enjoy.

10k km on new bike and you are astonished how reliable it is! What did you expect bike falling a apart in 10k? Try Honda air cooled Nighthawk go forever without doing anything other then tires spark plugs and oil change basic maintenance.We got lot of them in NH forums over 100k 30yr old bike and nothing done to it mine has 17k and done nothing either. It just seems you were expecting the HD to fail you so quick well I am glad it hasn't but I would expect that from $10k bike. cheers

nice bike. i got an 08 nightster. Forward controls. 2inch tank lift. vnh short shot. solo saddle bag. progressive 10inch shocks. screamin eagle intake (not to fond of its look). i didnt remove plastic and wires after tank lift. removed reflectors. wish i could get side mount license holder but cops in australia love that stuff. waiting on lower spoiler and removal of fork boots.

Excellent mods, the nightster is a under rated secret in the harken world.

instead of the Michelin Scorchers go with the Dunlop 401,, Tire will last you 3 times with the Michelin will,, excellent handling sticks to the road and great when riding in the rain,, but it sure do just my opinion.. nice ride good luck with her.

I prefer Avon Cobra tyres, they transform the Sportster's handling. My Iron 883 came with Michelin Scorcher tyres as stock fitment, I've never trusted them, the front tyre doesn't give any rider feedback and the rear slides about in the wet. Thank God for the Avon's, they were specially developed for cruiser motorcycles and they have a 10mm deep centre tread, so they not only give great grip, they last for many thousands of happy miles.

Nice bike mate! I really like the Nightster I was looking at buying one but I bought a 72 instead and am very happy with it bar the pitiful 2.1 gallon tank which looks amazing but you cannot get to far out of town lol.

I find mine a pain, I couldn't imagine smaller, runs out at 160 km, I fill at 120
@72sportsterguy838 жыл бұрын
TopHatPlus I get about 75 to 80 kilometres before low fuel light comes on. Luckily where I live there are plenty of gas stations. But it is very restrictive. Love my bike great fun but yeah filling up all the time gets old quick.
@scottliegel8557 жыл бұрын
actually the Dunlop K five nine ones, are even better for the Sportster Tire.. little pricey but I'll tell you what you'll stick to those Corners.. they used to run them on the old 1200 XL Sportster sport until they decided to switch over to a cheaper tire..

God Tank lifts are hideous. Just my opinion. Sweet bike though, i'm looking at used Nightsters right now.
@TopHatPlus5 жыл бұрын
The tank lift allows the wire tuck, which opens up the top portion of the motor, with stock bars rollback, and stock mirrors flipped it gives it a nice flow.

@@TopHatPlus cool cool. Any opinion on me looking at a 2009, 2012 used nightster? Anything i should watch for? Both are under 4k miles.

Does that tail light come with an integrated signal option?
@TopHatPlus7 жыл бұрын
I am not sure, the only options i seen was with or without license plate light.
@maltasfinest857 жыл бұрын
is there anywhere you list the upgrades? like the turn signals
@TopHatPlus7 жыл бұрын
Turn signals are harley davidson bezels with smoked on the front and red on the back, they come with new bulbs as well. The tail light is a kuryakyn low profile smoked tail light without the license plate window. It is for a dyna but with a wire extension to the factory plug it works perfectly. If i remember correctly it was like 10" of wire.
