Thank you for the reaction!! glad you enjoyed it and thank u for appreciating our boys :') theyre so underrated edit to explain some things bc i cant help myself; Aswang is an umbrella term for vampire-esque monsters in Filipino folklore, with the most recognizable feature being the long tongue. Also the "pattern" on their fire fits are actually protective inscriptions called 'agimat' that are used for good luck and protection against evil spirits :D

Alamat is not just talented, but a lot of their songs also relate to Philippine history and culture. They‘re one of the few Ppop groups I really, really like - the others being SB19, G22 and PHP.

You've just been introduced to the Aswang, a philippine monster akin to a vampire, often described to suck dry its victims through its long tongue, as shown in the vid & described in the lyrics. But you are right, the lyrics are playing w/ peoples' heads in here. (In some lores, Aswangs are said to play w/ peoples mind to lure them in as well) 😉

Years ago, I was doing a Halloween around the world project for my students and I discovered the name of this monster. Died of laughter thinking about how your average English speakers would pronounce it and what it sounds like. Had all my Filipino friends side eyeing me. Ps, aswang is a shape-shifting monster from the Philippines.
