You'd have to swap the diff itself too. If I remember right, the stock H2 front diff isn't compatible with any type of locker

My '07 H3 adventure was getting close to 13 mpg when when staying 60mph and below, but when I drove on the highway at 70-75mph It was only averaging 9-10mpg. It's slightly lifted and had 35" Toyo Open Country MT's when I was still driving it. It now has 35" Cooper discover STT Pros on it, but my dad has been driving it for the past year so I don't know what MPG it's getting now with those tires.

I feel that an h2 would be unstoppable with an aftermarket front locker. Its so easy because they have readily available after market lifts and can so easily fit 37s. I have an h3 and so wish i could find a rancho lift. But it'd probably cost as much as a solid axle conversion.

I got 430,000 km on my h3 now. The fuel pump just went in it. Just waiting for a new one so I can get it back in the road.

H3 Alpha V8 with an "Adventure Package" option....Take that over almost anything any place any conditions....cause 4:1 Low Range Xfer case and LAWKERS!

My hummer gives me 300 miles a full tank on the freeway or hwy but on the street about 270 or 280 miles a full tank on the street 3.7 h3

36L per 100 M looks very strange... mine 3.7 eats 20-23L on this distance outside the city...

Is it just me or does it look like the hummers could us a better "4-LO"? They seem to struggle a little bit with what appears to be too high of gear? I know jack about hummers.

The 4 low on a non adventure package H3 is 2.64:1 and has no lockers. With a 2009 up adventure package you get 4.03:1 with front and rear lockers. All models come with a locking transfer case however. Some better spotting and packing some rocks (track building) would have help this one out quite a bit though.

2008 and below years adventure package only has rear locker. The front diff carrier is aluminum so it can’t handle a front locker. 2009 and above adventure package has cast iron front and rear differential carriers. I had an 08 base model. I now have an 09 adventure. 4lo with the reduction gears makes a huge difference. Add in the lockers and it will crawl through just about anything as long as clearance is there.
