I have a 2015 Chrysler 200 which is now 10 years old. I have about 40k on the car currently. It has been good to me so far. I expect to have spend money on repairs on any of today’s vehicles because they just don’t make them like they used to.

I feel like I'm living in a different universe than the presenter. I see Mazda's and especially CX-5s everywhere. Maybe a US West Coast thing. They're hardly off anyone's radar here.

Just bought mine. ‘06 XLE Limited 211-thousand plus miles. Love it. It’s just for me and my 2 pets. Great for car camping and I don’t care what it looks like. Bought it for functionality. It’s clean and was fairly well maintained.

I got this same truck without 4wd. 2008 225000 no major work ever needed, no rust neither. I can get $5,500 to $6,000 all day. I’m never getting rid of her. Not an everyday driver no more hoping to get 4, 5 more years until I rebuild her.

Just bought a 2010 Highlander with 190,000 miles on it. This will be my 4th Toyota purchase in 10 years. Don’t have a single regret with any of them.

This gen of mazda/ford also had a terrible problem with the braking system mostly due to a abs module that ford recalled and mazda chose not to. Ask me how i know? Lol

What about condensation under oil cap? my 5.7 gets clear condensation under the fill cap especially now that its cold outside. Seems common.

I've been changing the oil and filter for 10 years and only a HACK would break that cover or use wrong tools. It's plastic, what do you expect? Love the vehicle, I've had 6 in the past.

water pumps on these will likely need replacing relatively early. Kind of a pain in the a$$ for the DIY. Other than water pump & radiator replacement, my 2013 V6 limited (173K mi) has served me and my family well over the past 12 years. I now mostly use it as a daily work commuter and occasional errands on weekends. We have a newer Toyota hybrid that we use if we're going on a longer road trip.

A $3k bill for repair at 150,000 miles and up is not bad at all. I’ve already spent over that in 1 year after owning my Mercedes ML350. It’s under 100,000 miles and I have had to replace brake lines on it and all the coil springs and the struts. I could have bought a cheap used car for the cost in repairs.

I LOVE MINE!!! I have a 2005 GTP, I have like 8000 different types of leaks, but it still runs. I think the transmission is starting to go out, but I have a leak I need to fix on it as well. My EGR valve does tick, and I am not entirely sure why, but my guess is that is isn't sealing properly. Such a fun car, and if you maintain it, very very reliable.

I have a 2005 Toyota Tundra SR5 Double Cab I bought New. 10 years ago I got a letter from Toyota about Frame rust. I brought my Truck To My Local Dealership where I bought the truck. They gave me a loaner Vehicle. The next morning I got a call From the dealership. They said that the frame Was Like Brand New and Didn't need a Frame. I told them I Am a mechanic and i always pressure washed the underside of the truck in the winter. They Said The mechanics were Impressed How Well the frame was and that they would spray the coating on the frame. I got the truck back . When I used the turn signals the relay cycled fast which means one of the lights is not working. When Checking They forgot to hook Up One of the wire harnesses . Also I checked and saw they scratched the cab of the truck when they reinstalled the bed of the truck which they removed to spray the coating on the frame. 2 years later the coating started pealing off and rust was on the frame which was not on the frame before they applied the coating. That was Proof they didn't clean the frame before applying the coating which sealed in any contamination that was on the frame before the coating. That Dealer Destroyed My Truck. Before Bringing The Truck To The Dealer The Frame Was Like New. I Should Never have Had That Recall Done. The Frame is All Rotted Now And Does NOT Pass State Safety Inspection.

Have a Honda Accord 2004 EX V6, brought from the first owner in 8 yrs back in 2016 at 147K Miles now at 190K miles in dec 2024, if you maintain it and replace all fluids well before time and keep an eye on them it wil serve you well. I unfortunately had to replace axle, control arms, and a minor accident in parking lot did made it age faster. Over the time got stuff done Starter replaced, lower ball joint, pads and rotors, AC Compressor changed, CV Axle, exhaust pipe changed.... replaced with after market stereo, all speakers, boom box, amp and woofer. However because of my negligence I did not check the transmission fluid recently, last time I replaced the trans fluid was 3.5 yrs ago didnt drive much just about 10k miles but it got quite old and proly leaked, transmission got hard for after a long drive of 300 miles and it failed wile my return from that trip within 10 days recently in in Dec 2024, its transmission went bad and to replace it with a used transmission I got a quote from my mechanic for 2300$ all inclusive, fingers crossed... Even though I didnt maintain it well, I didnt had much knowledge of the cars before this recent breakdown.. it used to sit for 6 months or more idle in outdoor parking lot it still held up decently...

My 2011 Caravan has done well for me brake wise, changed front first then rear later but my car had over 200,000 KM on it. One thing about shifting, I believe they all have a button for transmission modes. In "econo" mode it will lug hills. Turn off the econo and it shifts better. The 08 Caravan I had was rated for 175 HP while my 2011 was 'boosted' to 283 but it doesn't feel any more faster/powerful than the 175. Some of the other minivans look nice but the "stow and go" makes it the only minivan I'd consider buying

We have the same model and color with the sunroof purchased brand new in August 2007. It has 131,220 miles currently. The only major repair I did inside my garage was replace the starter. We are preparing to paint it at MAACO because we have left it outside since we purchased it, and the paint on the top and hood is flaking. We purposely waited for Honda to update to this 2007 model because we despised the 2003-2006 box-shaped model. GOOD Review.

Have a 2006 Toyota Sienna. Bullet proof vehicle if maintained. 260K miles. Going for 350K. 3.3L V6 is amazing motor along with the transmission. Keep fluids clean and change the timing belt every 90K and it'll keep on plugging. Never left us stranded.

Im a fair guy. Ive owned 4 ford trucks. But the fact the cab has to be removed to do any significant engine repairs is insane. I wouldn’t invest in an ecoboost. I can have a new 5.3L installed in my suburban for $3,400. Pretty sure you can’t do that with the ecoboost. My current Burb 5.3 has almost 370k on original engine that was neglected. new engine will take it to the million mile marker easy with minimum maintenance. Im leaning towards super duty or 12th gen f150 if i go ford, but its going to be hard for me to not buy another 99-06 Silverado/Sierra. Easy to work on, cheap to repair and just runs.

Thank you toplineracer as someone whos buying a f150 and is between the 5.0 and the 3.5 this helps alot knowing that a 3.5 is going to be hassle trying to maintain if i did decide to buy it just for the fact that it is and engine that you need to take really care of it since birth and you not truly knowing if the previous owner/ owners took care of it the odds of resulting in something unfavorable is likely
