@ECAbrams3 жыл бұрын
We can loop the evolution of the fractal if you like. But to make the scrolling loop, you only need to have a seamless texture as your base. That can be done many ways depending on your use case. But I would look into seamless texture and offset.

amazing tutorial! I'm trying to recreate what you did with having the text coming through, but it seems like the posturize is creating a lot extra shapes and lines within the text itself, any recommendations to clean that up?
@ECAbrams3 жыл бұрын
I'm not totally sure I understand what is happening. You're saying the posterize effect is altering the shape of the text, is that right? if the text is just an opaque layer there should be no interaction with the layers below and no change in shapes inside it if you apply posterize on an adjustment layer above. Is that not what's going on for you?
@mcbulldozer26693 жыл бұрын
@@ECAbrams Hmm let me rephrase. The edges of my text are creating multiple lines in the final result, as if somebody had drawn the letter and then drawn several smaller copies inside of it (think concentric circles). The more the text is blurred the more this happens, which is why I suspect the posturize is interacting with the blurry edges of the text and creating multiple levels as it goes from opaque to transparent. I can reduce the blur on the text, but it quickly becomes too sharp, and plus I need to blur at least a little bit on the adjustment layer so that it emerges out of the noise. Hope that makes sense lol, either way thanks for the response and advice.

A lot of know what effects to combine in what ways comes from experience. I've been using this app for a while so I have a lot of memory around what effects perform what functions. It comes in time as you build up more vocabulary and become conversational with the program. And it helps that the concepts and terms are fairly universal. Like posterize means posterize everywhere for example.

Awesome tutorial! Im currently working on my first animation project and have been using many of your tutorials and others to teach myself how After Effects works!
