Thank you for your video, very clear and helpful. I applied this on one of my model but faced an issue when it came to the validation analysis step. My model is not made of 1 single component like this of your example, it's an assembly of several components and I do optimization only on 1 of them. When I transfer the data to the validation system, only the optimized component is transfered, not the whole assembly, which makes the validation analysis useless this way. Do you have a tip which could help still using this simple way to create the validation analysis but for a more complex assemblied model where only 1 of the component is optimized ?

Welcome! One possible solution for your problem is that you can export the geometry in STL and then clean up the geometry in ANSYS SpaceClaim. You can also convert the optimized STL geometry in SOLID(STEP) by using SpaceClaim and then make the assembly again in any CAD modeling software and run the Static Structural analysis on the assembly.

Thank you for the tutorial! Is there a difference between applying multiple load steps in one static analysis vs having multiple static analysis like this? ie, are the stresses in each step summed/avg if multiple load steps are used?
@mechtasia66433 жыл бұрын
One can use both approaches to run multiple load step topology optimization analysis. This approach gives much more control as we can specify weight to any specific load which we think would be critical to our geometry/part.

This tutorial was a great help for me. Can you please help me know how to reduce the analysis time taken in the topological optimization? What steps needs to follow in the analysis settings of Topological Optimization part?

Any reason why you didnt do this in Ansys Discovery?
@mechtasia66433 жыл бұрын
Ansys topology optimization gives you much more flexibility when it comes to multiple load steps, meshing, design validation, etc.

Explained very 👌. How to add stress values as a limit?
@mechtasia66433 жыл бұрын
Right Click on the (Response Constraint > insert > Global Von-Misses stress constraint). From here you can add stress values as a limit.
